Those 60 engines sent yesterday to the Cali fires are not on the fire lines...yet.

They've been ordered to submit to a DOT inspection in Sacramento that's scheduled for 4:30 pm today. If they clear the inspection, they'll THEN be able to drive 400 miles to Pacific Palisades.
Talk about "looking a gift horse in the mouth." Then, on the way home, they get inspected again, and if they get red tagged, it's "fix it before you can return." Does liberal stupidity know no bounds? (I'm still waiting for a return call from @OSFM to explain this nonsense)
I worked a construction project in ventura a long time ago. The coastal commision are the worst of the worst. One “commisoner approved the blueprints for the roof and we went and framed the roof of a three story house. ANOTHER coomisar, saw the construction from his boat, who knows how far offshore” and sait the roof was 6 inches too high. How the hell do you measure a roof line from a boat off shore? Anyway. He came in and demanded the roof be replaced. Even though, the contractor already had approval. BUT... No matter. The CCC is ALWAYS right, especially when they are wrong. So after a long delay for new permits and approvals, a crane was rented (which also required permits and approvals, the roof was rigged, we cut the entire top floor fram down 6 inches, then reattached the roof to the new shorter frame.
All that for 6” because some jerk on a boat said it was too high. That must have cost 2 - 3 hundred thousand dollars. All because those stupid jerk tyrants like having the power.
too bad Pudding Cup was napping.
LOL ROFLMAOPIMP !!!
They should have turned around and gone home.
= = =
Probably not allowed on the road without passing the DOT test.
If it were any other state they would just turn around and go back which is what they SHOULD have done. BUT, being OREGON. they probably felt it was appropriate.
You just described exactly how the old Soviet Union worked—and why it collapsed.
The Commie bureaucrats became a lead weight on everything—and it just got worse and worse and worse....
Eventually the parasite destroys the host.
I think that’s what we are seeing in California.
But libs are spinning it: Climate Change it to blame for the hydrants not working.
Commies always blame everything and everyone but themselves and their Commie ideology for everything that goes wrong.
It works for a while—but eventually even the dullest non player character figures it out...
What do you mean ‘going to’! They already have. They are just adding to the pile of dead.
I have purposely been avoiding TV news, and have only clicked on a couple stories here regarding this human tragedy. Please, what is the cost in lives nearing now estimated at?
Our local newspaper had a story about how one of our brand new county busses caught fire and burned. They almost broke their arm patting the county on the back for being wise enough to put the charging station a large distance from any of the regular busses.
Of course they never thought to point out that the reaL smart move would have been to avoid electric busses completely...
New Mexico sent trucks and crews from several communities including Albuquerque. Texas is sending crews who will travel along I-10 to get to LA. Having to divert to Sacramento for inspection is insanity. BTW, given the amount of smoke from the fires, any over-limit vehicle emissions would be like a drop of water added to a full bucket.
Chinese could stop an army of bureaucrats with one shot! Shoot the first bureaucrat in the head, rest run!
I spent some time in Torrance, CA at a home with an ocean view. Any home owners that were altering their property had to get approvals from the uphill owners so it didn’t interfere with their ocean views. A complete tear down took a year or more to approve the new house..
So far 11 for this event. I’m counting all their events. Paradise fire 6 or so years ago. Covid deaths. Plus whatever else.
