Conservative Media's Darkest Secret: They're Closet Liberals
Mark Dice on Youtube ^ | 12/23/2024 | Mark Dice

Posted on 12/25/2024 8:21:13 AM PST by ducttape45

I know folks don't like to view videos to get an explanation for the post, but listening to it will give you far more insight than my simple explanation, but suffice to say Mark Dice is really on spot here. He goes into detail about how he views many so-called conservative voices as actually being closet liberals but not willing to come out as such.

I know not everyone we listen to or read about is going to check all the boxes and that conservative hosts are never going to completely satisfy our desire for a purely Christian conservative viewpoint, but I believe there is merit in what Mark is saying.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all.

Burnham died, he wasn’t fired from National Review. Joe Sobran was fired, so was John Derbyshire.

I don’t think Sam Francis was ever writing for NR. He got fired by several other conservative outlets, thanks to a campaign labeling him a racist run by an opportunistic phony named Dinesh D’Souza.

Sam Francis, as some here know, was a prophet of MAGA decades before it had a name or a candidate that would represent it. Here’s an article mentioning Francis you ought to enjoy:

Right? I watched the video on Dice’s YouTube channel a couple of days ago and it teased with photos of Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk. Then no mention of them. Hmmm…

I stand corrected on both points—good post.

National Review became irrelevant once the left seized power of all major institutions (”the long march through the institutions”).

At that point we had no choice—become anti-establishment radicals or be crushed.

” And yes, they both get after Trump when he deserves it, which he does at times.”

Ok I’ll bite: give us some examples of when the Nikki Haley fan and the libertarian have deservedly criticized Trump.

Are Baier and Hume still with Fox?

Haven't watched that channel in years.

Over 100 posts and no mention of Coulter, crazy old cat lady, only dates Manhattanite libtards.

And how did this thread not mention Kristol? He has voted Democrat in two straight presidential elections.

Finally, don't forget Mike Pence had a radio show for a bit.

We had to hold our noses and watch Fox for two weeks. On a 14-day cruise, it was the only “conservative” network offered on their CCTV. Baier is still there. 🙄 Didn’t see anything of that asshat Hume.

It’s murder. That should not be allowed at any level of law in America.

That's certainly an opinion that many share. I, as I said, am a Constitutionalist instead.

statists are anarchists

they call themselves anarchists to hide their statism

anarchy is a temporary condition

the anarchists want anarchy so it can be replaced by statism

“The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference . . . and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.”

I actually am closer to libertarianism than either major political party. Which is a shame, since the nation was founded on "liberal" in the traditional sense policies. Today, the libertarian party is closest to classical liberalism. I never use 'liberal' to describe the leftists.

I do have a problem with the American Libertarian Party because they have become a "Johhny-one-note" on drug legalization, and that's just not my priority. And so, I am a Constitutionalist.

statists are anarchists . . . etc.

Didactic statements without justification are nothing but opinion, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I don't find such statements to be convincing of anything interesting.

One thing Hannity said that stuck with me......”I was never offered a job by a poor man”.

That short speech Reagan made to the libertarians was about it, which is why one sees them post the quote over and over, they also leave out that it was common for Reagan to start out with something nice and agreeable like that, and then do what he proceeded to do in that speech, point out where the libertarians were wrong and how he was a social conservative, and a conservative.

God’s perfect. Is He the enemy of the good?

Jesus called on Christians to be “perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). Are Christians who achieve this state by overcoming evil thus the enemy of the good?

It does entail living amongst mere mortals, and practicing forgiveness and tolerance. Each person must use the Commandments for self governance. Then “judge not, lest you be judged” kicks in.
