On Monday morning President Trump retweeted an earlier report by Tom Fitton from Judicial Watch.
On November 8, 2024, three days after the Republican sweep of the presidency, Senate and House of Representatives, Fitton posted:

We’re likely housing, feeding, and providing ‘free’ healthcare to > 95% of 1.7M illegal aliens.
We can’t afford that, or the risk posed by terrorists and other criminals in this group. Biden should have been charged with treason.
It’s going to get ugly as we start deportations, an armed home is a safe home.
I am thoroughly for getting rid of these illegal aliens, but I still gotta ask: does Posse Comitatus allow for exceptions like these?
I will treat answers such as “Man up” or “Don’t be a wuss” as irrelevant.
As long as the military backs Trump, he will get this done. I hope there is a list somewhere of all of the flag officers Obama decommissioned because they declared their defense and support of the U.S. Constitution, and further stated when questioned, that they would NOT obey orders from above to fire upon U.S. citizens. I think the number of officers was something like 1,700. Remember that one?
I hope they are all prepared to be called up again to return to their posts.

The Act allows legislated exceptions.
No. I don’t think it applies to these illegal aliens. Just my opinion.
This is an invasion by illegal aliens and not U.S. citizens being abused by our military.
Besides, the sheer scale and deliberate immensity of this invasion aided by the U.S. government itself has been without precedent in U.S. history.
I don't think the Act would even apply.
Gives the National Guard some purpose.
I think they should use civil asset forfeiture to fund this as well. Any assets seized with these aliens should be forfeited to the government to defer the cost of their removal and Border Patrol.
Since our military assets are not being used against our citizens but rather are being used to detain and remove those who have invaded our Country illegally, I view it is a distinction with a difference. I’m no Constitutional attorney, though.

There was a report last week or the one before that the Pentagon was preparing to eliminate or modify the Act
The US military can be used to close the border. The National Guard can be called up (and has been before) to assist state and local law enforcement.
What the US military is NOT supposed to do is send an IFV and squad to your house to arrest you for a crime.
