Our ancestors prepped for every winter. They had to as a matter of survival.
We've become a very pampered, spoiled few generations that live either day to day or hand to mouth. Just seeing what happens at the stores when a winter storm hits goes to show how woefully little thought people give to events beyond the next few days.
