"Patty Murray is up there - down there? - in the stupidity department too."

Sure Hirono and Murry are dim bulbs, but here in Konnecticut we've got Chris Murphy - I would put his lack of intellect against ANY US Senator.

Come on Freepers - show us your idiot Senator....

“How dumb are the voters who reelect the same dumb senators over and over again?”

Is it that the voters are “dumb” or is it that the vote counters are corrupt? This is a question that needs to be answered, and soon.

I recall Rush always saying the Joe Biden was the stupidest person ever to be in the Senate... can’t say he wasn’t right but there is certainly a lot of competition for that title !

My support went to Hung Cao in Virginia in the election. It wasn’t enough to oust the window-licking retard Tim Kaine.

The Senate has become 100 separate mini-Presidential elections heavily funded by outside money. This is why Senators never seem to have the slightest interest in representing their states' interests - they don't. They work for somebody else.

Any corruption the Seventeenth Amendment was designed to head off has been exceeded a thousandfold by the Senators we get out of big money, mass media politics. Senators appointed to serve ONE six year term by their state governments would lead to a far less corrupt and more deliberative body, regardless of what state-level horse-trading goes into their selection.

OK....
Let's change the narrative here...
These senators are not dumb.
They know exactly what they are doing and saying.
Remember, almost half the population has below average intellegence.

A nation of over three hundred million people and these are whom get elected to The Senate?!

The sadist point about voting sane and normal IQ’s are not required it’s been proved over and over.

Many just react not thinking.

P.J. O’Rourke famously wrote, “The founding fathers, in their wisdom, devised a method by which our republic can take one hundred of its most prominent numbskulls and keep them out of the private sector where they might do actual harm.”

Schumer who served on the Judiciary Committee: “So I would urge my Republican colleagues, no matter how strong they feel — you know, we have three branches of government: we have a House, the Senate, we have a President, and all three of us are going to have to come together and give some.

"It is depressing to realize that there are only 100 senators, and Mazie Hirono is one of them."

It's depressing to realize that Kamala Harris was a US Senator.
