Prior to Freddie Freeman's walk-off grand slam, MLB fans couldn't get over a certain fan's hat for Game 1 of the World Series.
There was a fan wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat while sitting in the first row behind home plate. It's unclear if she was rooting for the New York Yankees or Los Angeles Dodgers. For all we know, she could've went to the game strictly to make a political statement before the presidential election.

Wearing a hat that merely says “Make America Great Again”, in your own country, at a public sports event, quietly sitting alone in your seat, is now considered HATEFUL?
But at the same time, wearing a hat depicting a burning USA flag is perfectly fine, or a hat with a depraved homosexual symbol, or a hat with abortion rights slogan, etc. those are all OK and considered free speech.
Another example of the rapid degeneration and devolution of America. We as a nation are genetically and intellectually inferior today than 50 years ago.
Grammerly is free at this level of error.
No kidding. This is one of many that just set my teeth on edge.
Our language is disintegrating as fast as our republic.
Naw. That's just you.
If you’re a season ticket holder don’t you get the ticket as part of the package?
I don’t go to ball games and rarely watch, but I am pretty sure that at least you are in a lottery for ticklers for Series games.
“”Could’ve went?””
I suspect the writer is not an American OR at least an uneducated one....same type who asks, “where’d you find it at?”
But watch out for the stupid kids on this thread who like poor grammar. They want to beat you up.;-)
The error of using the past form of the verb instead of the past participle is ubiquitous now.
I guess each team has it’s own policies with regard to season tickets. My guess is whoever has those seats as season tickets would be a long time Dodger fan and is no doubt very well off. Reselling the WS tickets would probably pay for cost of the season tickets themselves. You would have a minimum of two games and a maximum of 4.
*** For all we know, she could’ve went to the game***
Can’t read past this.
Regarding your #20:
No, but the nuns in 3rd grade would have beaten my knuckles raw for such a stupid, ignorant grammatical error that is inexcusable in an ESL student, let alone a native speaker.
And it would have been legitimately EARNED, too!
Not to mention that this level of grammatical error is from a PROFESSIONAL writer.
Where is the Editor?
Where is the pride in your work?
Secondary market ticket prices suggest nose bleed sections run for ~$1K. Seats behind home plate run well north of $5K
I should’ve written, “won’t read past this.” It’s not that I can’t, I just won’t.
Only at Ivy League Universities.;-)
“For all we know, she could’ve went to the game strictly to
Could’ve went?
Grammerly is free at this level of error.”
I’ve never heard of The Spun before so I’m guessing it’s a blogger writing the article in his pajamas.
That said, ChatGPT and other such platforms would gladly do the job...for free.
Yep. That’s possible.
The hat is an example of Trumps marketing genius.
