LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers' dream season continues.
The Boys in Blue punched a ticket to the World Series after beating the New York Mets 10-5 in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series.
Sunday's historic win marks the Dodgers' fourth trip to the Fall Classic since 2017; their first since the 2020 bubble season.

At the rate the Dodgers pitching staff is being depleted, Dave Roberts might ask Koufax to be the opener in game 1.

The Yankees played the Dodgers in 1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1963, 1977, 1978 and 1981 with the Yankees winning eight of the Series, according to Sports Illustrated.
And 1981 should have an asterisk, because they changed the payoff qualifications in the middle of the season due to a strike. The modified version was based on the "split season", and one anomaly of that was locking the Reds out of the post-season, even though they had the best W-L record.

My favorite series was the one in 1963, when the Dodgers beat the Yankees four straight. This had never happened to the Yankees before, and I don’t believe it has happened since. 1976 Reds. The Big Red Machine curb stomped the Yankees. 5-1, 4-3, 6-2, 7-2.

The Yankees were swept by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1976 World Series.

World Series can’t be in November.
MLB is dead since 2020 and they sat out in protest because a sexual predator with a knife was shot.
So many things wrong.
Left destroys everything.

Yankees starters Garrett Cole and Rodon are phenomenal. Great 1-2 punch. Nester was good previous years, but not solid right now. We’ll see how they all do against a tough Dodgers line up.

IMNSHO Ohtani is overrated. His post season has been underwhelming so far.

Agree, he has been a far more consistent producer for the Yankees than either Soto or Judge this post season.
