Media commentator Brian Stelter said Wednesday on CNN’s “The Situation Room” that Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris’s interview on Fox News was “a sign of toughness and strength.”
Network commentator Alyssa Farah Griffin said, “I am among those people who worked with Donald Trump was in the Situation Room, was in the Oval Office with him. And can tell you you can’t fix bad character. He is somebody that has a historic number of his advisors, his own cabinet officials have spoken out and said this is a man that we don’t think is fit for office. I think that she did convey that point. I do think that’s important frankly, for Fox viewers to hear.”

Democrats, many Independents, and even self-described "conservatives" (e.g., Dick Cheney) just don't get it: Trump is the opposite of "erratic," "egomaniacal," "ill-tempered," etc.
People don't get Trump. He developed a thick skin to become a major New York City RE developer. He had to constantly fight far-left NYC politicians. To succeed, Trump adopted that approach you now see. But look at old YT interviews with young RE developer Donald Trump (age 30, 35?) from early 1980s. He was totally different then: Very contemplative, engaging, thoughtful. One TV interviewer asked him, You have lots of great ideas, Why don't YOU run for President? And young Trump responded, "No, I don't think so, politics is an ugly business and I love what I'm doing. Also I'd probably be running against some politician with a big smile but no great brain." Sound like any politicians you know? ... O'Biden? ... Taempon Tim? ... kamaLa? ... Trump nailed it!
So Trump gradually morphed into the braggadocious guy you now see today: "Many people say my golden sneakers are the best sneakers they've ever worn." "People say my water bottles & prime steaks are the greatest!" Etc.
He's a marketer. It's all meant to broaden the Trump Organization name brand. That helps him build/sell Trump properties. Trump naturally brings that same approach to politics. President Trump gave a U.N. speech, telling world leaders: "I've done more as U.S. President than perhaps any President in American history!" (Entire U.N. audience breaks into laughter.) President Trump (smirking): "That wasn't exactly the response I expected, but that's OK."
