A Remembrance for October 7
I contemplated what would be meaningful to write on the October 7 anniversary of the Hamas massacre of 1,200 innocent men, women and children.
And, of course, there were the other atrocities committed that dark day by Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other terrorists’ groups -- including the mass raping and murdering of women and children as well as the taking of hundreds of civilian hostages, many of whom today hang on in dark, suffocating tunnels.
After some serious reflection, I decided simply to compile a list describing the violent Arab, Palestinian and Islamic Jihadi attacks on innocent, unarmed civilians since 1948 when the state of Israel was born.
As this long, long, long list shows below, October 7 was not an anomaly. It was part of a major, cowardly strategy used by Palestinian and Islamic Jihadi radicals to terrorize and instill fear in a civilian populace.
I use the word cowardice because there is no honor or courage in killing, raping and maiming innocent, unarmed people. It is pure cowardice and their pattern of deploying these unspeakable weapons of pure terror exposes the significant weakness of the Palestinian cause.

Half a century?
Must be a typo.
Probably meant half a millennium.
In another millennium, they still won’t have evolved.
Indeed. It’s a mind numbing list. Many before I was born and as a child I have no recollection. Starting in 70s I recall a number of them up until today. Apart from the number of dead and the intensity Oct 7 is exactly in line with what has gone on before and Islam in general.
It goes back much further that that. I recently read an article about Jews in Israel being attacked in 1928.
