While the sources for the quotes are four years old, I thought it was interesting that anti-second amendment types in the media felt it necessary to eliminate anti-gun stereotypes from Loony Tunes!

I don’t understand why they are eliminating guns but keeping all of the Acme merchandise. The Acme stuff is what inspired me to drop anvils off of freeway overpasses and use catapults to launch boulders at my neighbor’s house.

I suppose its still acceptable today to see Yosemite Sam as a muslim decapitating Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck with his scimitar

Never ONCE as a kid was I tempted to take one of Dad’s guns and shoot someone because I saw Elmer Fudd or Yosemite Sam use a gun in a cartoon.

It happens after every major shooting. I still remember 1968 when Rex Allen said he would never wear his guns in a public appearance again.
Oklahoma’s Pistol Pete lost his pistols for a while.
And E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) when, for a DVD release, they digitally erased the firearms in the FBI officer’s hands and replaced them with radios.

But how will that effect children using their spear and magic helmet? And will Warner Brothers now demand an unconstitutional Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator control?
