Mexico has 52 (!) consulates on US soil, not just for appearances. Mexican diplomats
blatantly meddle in US internal politics even campaigning against U.S. legislation:
<><>they protect the interests of illegal aliens,
<><>they promote more illegal immigration,
<><>they promote dual citizenship,
<><>and cultivate the loyalty of Mexican-Americans born in the US.

FTA——In April of 2024, Oklahoma’s legislature passed House Bill 4156, which criminalized “impermissible occupation,” (being an illegal alien in Oklahoma). Edurne Pineda, the Mexican consul in Oklahoma City, publicly campaigned against the bill.

Governor Stitt hesitated to sign the bill. Stitt openly said he planned to consult with Consul Pineda. Quoth Stitt, “Hopefully, I can learn from her and then help the legislature design the bill that they’re trying to do.” The Governor of Oklahoma wanted a foreign diplomat to help craft legislation for Oklahoma!

Finally, Stitt signed the bill into law. But he simultaneously set up the “Oklahoma State Work Permits and Visas Task Force (OSWPV)” which practically defeats the purpose of the new law. And who’s on this task force? It’s composed of various Oklahoma officials, special appointees and the “Consul of Mexico in Oklahoma City or her designee.”

Governor Stitt has named a foreign diplomat to a US task force on foreign labor.

The State of Oklahoma has zero power to prevent a foreign consulate from opening in the state, nor does the state have the power to restrict a consulate official’s hair color.

Stitt is not a conservative. I won’t go so far as to call him a democrat (spit!); but he has done some really young stuff.

I would close all 52 of the Mexican consulates, until Mexico signs an agreement to quit meddling in U.S. domestic affairs through its consulates, and that agreement would agree that Mexican officials in the U.S. who defy that agreement lose their diplomatic privileges and will be expelled.
