I can understand Trump not getting into a gun dialogue given what happened less than a week ago.

Not necessary to focus on a subject that most Americans already agree on.

What did they want him to do? That was the worst time off all to talk about it either way.
Biden didn’t get that memo cause he did it. The democrats couldn’t have done this worse. I’m even shocked at them.

Exactly.....and his original speech may very well have recognized gun rights.
This article is a little selfish and short sighted IMO.

Hmmm... a webzine called “The Reload”.
I wonder what their “single issue” might be.

some people are just not happy about ANYTHING that doesn’t meet their narrow standards. President Donald J Trump chooses to reach the largest number of Americans where they are, NOT where SOME individuals wish they were. finding common ground is paramount in these divided States of America or we can just chalk up another gop loss because of choosing another wrong hill to die on. please folks...don’t snatch another defeat out of the jaws of victory. seems to be a classic move of the gop.

on several very large gun forums, from the post on the boards, a majority of them are nevertrumpers and don’t hesitate to criticize Trump for banning guns, bumpstocks, pistol braces, and not passing pro 2a legislation.
Prior to the assassination attempt, most weren’t going to vote, because they didn’t see any difference between Trump and biden.
I don’t think the assassination attempt changed many of the anti/nevertrumper’s people’s minds on forums, except they have became silent until all the attention on the assassination goes away.
To: DoodleBob
I could have swore he mentioned it.

Seriously, any talk of weapons by Trump after being hit by a bullet would have been ghoulish.

I’m not, considering how inept this administration is, it’s not surprising they botched an assassination. Look at everything President Trump’s been through. An assassination was next on their list.

Trump is on the stage accepting the nomination for president, and this writer is wringing his hands in his mom’s basement.
Tough call, but I’ll go with Trump’s judgment on this one

Another of the “yapping little dogs”.
Those people or organizations that want constant drama, division and hatred.
It’s drama with them all the time .

He did mention it. . The entire platform discusses gun rights just once, in a preamble statement about the party’s dedication to defending “our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms.”

Yes.
From the title alone, I am to conclude that Trump is a gun-grabbing liberal in disguise.
I almost fell for it but your post saved me.
