The case concerned a Russian transgender man whose two foster children were removed from his home on account of his gender identity and transition.
The European Court of Human Rights addressed issues under Article 8 regarding family life. The case involved the termination of custody and a foster care agreement of a trans man (and his husband) caring for two minors, due to his diagnosis of “transsexualism” and change of gender identity. The Russian authorities primarily based their decision on the fact that under Russian law it is impossible for same-sex couples to be foster parents. Also, they cited societal traditions and mentality for the interference. The European Court however criticised that the overall family situation was not examined in full, nor were the conclusions of investigating authorities considered.
The Court criticised the lack of an individualised expert examination or scientific study on the impact of gender identity changes on childrens’ psychological health and development. Additionally, the assessment was not balanced or reasonable regarding the competing interests involved.
Russia is denying the continuity of the culture of Sodom and Gomorrah.

It’s one of the reasons I love living here in Russia. It’s very refreshing to take a walk with my family and not have to explain to my 7 y/o son why a boy is kissing another boy, or women doing the same, or why a man is dressed as a woman, etc.
It’s also very refreshing not seeing rainbow flags plastered everywhere.

It must also really be refreshing to walk down the street, not step into human feces, not have bum encampments everywhere, and to be able to go shopping in decent stores and not have to worry about black clad mobs coming into the store and rob their legitimate customers. Thanks for posting. I lived in Moscow for three years, training Ivans. Even back then I was impressed with Russian family values, religious beliefs, and a sense of freedom citizens had. Today’s Russian Federation is not Soviet Russia.

What’s really disgusting is it that’s exactly the kind of crap we were doing in Afghanistan before we got kicked out. If we’d been r willing to accept the reasonable parts of Islamic culture and reasonably to respect their religion and not do abominations like that, it would’ve been a lot easier to establish a mode of working with them that would have enabled us to stay.

The court stands alone in all of man’s history with this view and doubtless thinks that that is what makes them righteous. Man THAT is hubris. This sort of blind self regard is one of the things that makes history so tragic and bloody.
Filthy democrats have been besmirching Russia’s dignity for years and using it as a political weapon in the most disgusting ways. After Cold War ended we should have been encouraging a close and cordial relationship since we are natural allies in many ways. I think democrat doucheness accounts for Putin’s aversion to west.
My sister is gay and her female husband ruined her two girls. Both have mental issues into their 40s. They both hate their parents. Having two militant homosexual female parents who were lock step DNC NAZIs was hard for everyone. Russia has called out just about EVERYTHING that the West has done to destroy themselves (Globohomo, Open Borders, Climate Change...), to the point of making one think that Russia prefers having the West around so they don’t have to (eventually) take on China and probably other countries, alone.
But given how vilified the Russians are, the West simply doesn’t listen.
