Does China sense weakness in the White House? In recent days Chinese troops have been sent to Belarus for military exercises, dozens of Chinese military aircraft have been threatening Taiwan, and four Chinese military vessels were even detected off the coast of Alaska. So why has China decided to become so aggressive all of a sudden? Right now, Joe Biden is facing endless questions about his competency, and those around him are focused on fighting for his political survival. So could foreign adversaries such as China use this window of opportunity to do things that they may not normally attempt to do?

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence (MND) on Thursday said that it had detected 66 Chinese military aircraft and vessels around the island, apparently en route to a Chinese military exercise in the Western Pacific.
The media outlet embedded a statement by Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence on its X platform.
“66 PLA aircraft and seven PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 am (2200 GMT Wednesday) today,” the statement said.
When asked about this, the Chinese government responded by declaring that the operation was about protecting “its sovereignty and territorial integrity”…

Biden said China has to “pay a price” because they are an aggressor in Ukraine and the area around Taiwan the South China Sea.
Regardless of the bodies on the stage with the Presidential Seal in front of them China was set to be a threat to the US from 2025 on by the Deep State.

I dunno. There are people in our government - and in NATO as well - who just can’t help preaching to the world. And consequences be damned. Maybe that explains it.
These and other ills in China are spurring grievances and discontent that could oust the communist government. The current aggressive external moves by China seem calculated to warn off adversaries and distract the Chinese public from the country's domestic troubles. In contrast, a serious aggressive move like an invasion or soft blockade against Taiwan would dictate focused effort toward that goal while tamping down tensions elsewhere.
The risk of course is that even a carefully drawn strategy of limited military and diplomatic intimidation can go wrong as actors on scene go off script. An overly enthusiastic naval lieutenant on a Chinese patrol boat or any of thousands of others in charge of a weapon aimed at foreigners could touch off a major crisis.

Team Biden knows one of the best ways to build support for a president is to go to war. China swiping Taiwan at the same time it helped keep the Dems in office would be a double win for China and a win for the Dems.

Pity you had to start with a personal insult. Such things are never helpful. If I’m wrong, make a polite argument. I’d appreciate that.
Anyway, the United States most certainly is an exceptional country. And part of that is to offer gentle guidance to other countries, when appropriate. Unfortunately, we go far beyond that. We preach.
To African countries: You must embrace gay rights, even though it’s against your culture.
To Israel: You must stop your attack on Hamas, even though your national security is at stake.
On and on it goes. I could easily offer a dozen more examples, but my waffles are ready. So I’ll stop here.
