I have a lot of college educated White friends --- nearly all of them liberals/Democrats. They are posting maniacs right now on facebook => 20-30 memes a day for most of them. They are an echo chamber of the Trump is a Nazi, Republicans' pending neo-fascist plan in Project 2025 is dangerous stuff, the Heritage Foundation is the real deep state, this is the end of Democracy, etc. ad nauseum. It's emotion, emotion, emotion ALL the time with little to no reality in it.
So I asked a guy that I know if he remembers asking me to visit him in prison when Trump is elected and becomes a dictator --- and he said yes. I reminded him that that was 2016. So I asked him if Trump put him in prison => no . . . Did Trump harm you in any way => no . . . So what makes you think he is likely to do that now => silence . . .
They already KNOW what a Trump administration will be like --- they've already lived it the first time. It's insane they way they are all acting now.
Oh, and when my female friends post their pronouns, I can't help but read SHEep/HERd. Sorry/not sorry --- couldn't help myself.
there are definitely pockets of mentally ill out there, especially on FB and the nextdoor app. Seriously deluded people.
One of my wife’s good friends went berserk in 2016 — “resist” marches all the time, pussy hats all the time...you name it. She hounded my wife mercilessly to join the “movement.” My wife told her many times “Knock it off. Not interested.” but she kept going and going. That was the end of that friendship.
Other kooky democrat friends at least have enough sense to not bring that crap up.
>> when my female friends post their pronouns, I can’t help but read SHEep/HERd
🤣😂🤣
Thanks for that.
Leftards are lunatics and/or vise versa. What boggles the mind is that Trump already was a previous President, the nation ran pretty well. If he was a dictator why isn’t he still in office ruling like a tyrant? Remember when Trump got elected that unhinged leftard lunatics went on riotous rampages like Portland and Seattle.
Leftism operations more like a cult than a political movement.
“Other kooky democrat friends at least have enough sense to not bring that crap up.”
I try to never mention anything political around the few lunatic lefties I know. But they see politics in things where I don’t, and they also tend to bring it up and it goes to full rant pretty quickly. When it does get brought up, I try to change the subject as I have business relationships to protect. Also, their views are so predictable and “wrong” it’s not worth having any discussion. It reminds me of working with Israelis. They were all academics, super smart and successful people. I’d go to a party and leave the moment I heard the first drunken laugh because they’d quickly gather around the only Republican, and I’d feel like I was getting pecked to death by ducks.
I could not resist posting: "Thank you for that important scientific insight. Where would we be without science?"
It’s insane they way they are all acting now.

Too bad they are your friends. They deserved to be mocked ruthlessly for their stupidity.
Sounds like your college friends are engaged in a circle je.... They all access the same people and information then consider themselves enlightened.
Back in 2005, after Bush got re-elected, I had a liberal Jewish friend was beside herself with grief. She said “he’s worse than Hitler!”. I calmly asked her if that meant she would prefer living in 1938 Germany versus 2005 USA. She had no reply.
I would have dumped these Friends years ago.
and now we know how the nazis came to power
and scientist janeane
They have been brainwashed. It is REALLY bad, you’re correct. Absolutely no logic or reason to it except that people have been brainwashed looking at social media and watching television.
I live in a relatively safe conservative area...recently older gal from AZ moved into my senior complex.
Having long read about and seen/heard these twisted creatures on one tube or another, but never actually met/talked to one in person...unfortunately my luck ran out.
...and I am truly amazed at the sheer ignorance/brain-fornicated logic I witnessed.
...particularly from someone who's been on this earth longer than I have.
This mentally-challenged Kool-Aid drinker, who will stop you in mid-sentence before allowing herself to be educated with/by truth, makes my 95 y/o mom with dementia sound like a Rhode Scholar.
Janeane Garofalo ... noted neuroscientist.
Not.
She’s the author of a book, though! Not sure if it has anything to do with neuroscience. Or any other science. Title is “Feel This Book: An Essential Guide to Self-Empowerment, Spiritual Supremacy, and Sexual Satisfaction”.
Leftards deem themselves smarter than conservatives and therefore they arrogantly proclaim it with confidence and condescendingly superiority. Their lofty castle perches are nothing more than palaces built on beach sand.
Dittos on that observation. Rebels without a clue.
In the past couple of years I’ve become fascinated with the use of language on social media. It’s amazing how orchestrated it is…on both sides of the aisle.
Project 2025 or Project ‘25 has exploded over the past two or three weeks. After the debate and SCOTUS rulings it’s gotten even worse. That the use of the words around it are downright scary.
I’ve notice the use of “Neocon” has started to take off again on the Ukrainian/Russia sites. It’s like someone discovered it last week and they are flexing it.
Language on social media is interesting in terms of its valence. Instead of “rain” we get “deluge.” Instead of “concerning”, it is “catastrophic” or “existential threat.” Of course on the Hannity threads it’s always, “bombshell”.
High valence language generates an emotional response. That response will result in clicks to go read the hyperbolic articles. Once you “see it” it becomes akin to fingernails on a blackboard.
There are actually people who measure this stuff in an attempt to predict future trends/ directions in events. The best example of this was the noted use of “bitcoin” in 2010. It started to show up and within certain cohorts it took off. This was long before it became common. Those researchers were saying to buy it. I wish I had at the time.
It’s only going to get worse. But if you inoculate yourself by understanding the “high energy” words are meant to drive you to an action, it will be easier to keep an even keel.
But, trying to explain this to people who get their news from either TickTock on one side, or InfoWars on the other is often a lost cause.
