On Sunday's CNN's State of the Union, Sen. Marco Rubio, tipped as one of Donald Trump's possible VP choices, battled host Dana Bash. Rubio came out on top on everything from abortion, to the SCOTUS ruling on presidential immunity, Trump's "revenge," Project 2025, Biden's disastrous record, and speculation about Trump's VP pick.
Rubio agilely batted away Bash's challenges, and also flashed a relaxed sense of humor, getting in a number of zingers.

Last week, Doug Burgum and J.D. Vance, who are generally considered Trump's other most likely VP possibilities, made Sunday show appearances. Each was impressive in his own way. But Rubio's 13 years in the Senate, and experience in the crucible of running for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, have sharpened him in unique ways.
Bash mentioned that Trump will be holding a rally in Florida this Tuesday -- perhaps his last rally before the convention begins on July 15th. Could that be a tell on his VP pick?

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Hmm my first reflex is he adds nothing since Trump already has FLA but maybe helps generally with the hispanic vote.
Rubio was the Florida House of Representatives Speaker of the House at age 35. He has always been sharp when dealing with the media.
Marco would be a fantastic Vice President.
He has experienced the campaigns before. Few can say that.
Ugh. If that leads to Little Marco on the ticket, I think I’ll puke!
How did he answer the abortion question?
wow..I haven’t Dana on a TV show in a long time. What a snarky, know-it-all Bi-atch she is. UGH!
Did she ever win the Kentucky Derby? She has the face for it.
I think having him as a high profile veep would light a fire under the butts of the communists in Cuba. Offer himself as their president if they throw them out. The Ayatollas in Iran will notice. Then do the same thing to them. Payback to those who stuck it to us. Who best to stick it back to them other than Trump? No more the US as Mr. nice Guy.
Rubio as leader of Cuba would remove him from consideration in ‘28. Fine. Florida is in good hands.
elected as a Tea Party candidate
then led the push for amnesty
Rubio didn’t win anything with her. She kept ‘correcting’ him and then moved on quickly. Marco didn’t let her get away with it but he wasn’t forceful either. It’s gonna get nasty with these people so our people might as well turn it up a few notches.
Rubio is seen as a moderate but he’s been known to drop bombs and coming from a moderate they hurt. A “unity” ticket to bring the party together (MAGA with the establishment) can hardly do better than Marco Rubio, in my opinion. He wouldn’t be my first choice but I think it would be a strong ticket.
Go ahead and puke and then vote Trump.
Exactly what I’ll do!
Of course. CNN would love it if Marco was picked as VP.
To those criticizing Rubio, I’d invite you to watch the video clip. Think you’d be impressed and pleased by his performance defending Trump and taking it to Biden.
He said he believed abortion was fine for Democrats only.
Only a joke I abhor abortion.
Good attack dog, only 53
lol
