First lady Jill Biden is unleashing fury at those who are trying to force President Joe Biden to quit his re-election campaign following his disastrous debate performance last week against former President Donald Trump.
ABC News host Martha Raddatz said following Biden’s interview with the network on Friday that sources inside the White House have told her that Biden’s “very tight inner circle” is pushing Biden to stay in the race and that he will win as long as he keeps going.
“This of course includes his wife Jill who they said is lashing out at those who want him to get out of the race,” she added.
Biden’s family is now reportedly moving to consolidate power within his campaign and administration as they look to box out those who are leaking to the media and trying to sabotage the president in the days leading up to the party’s convention.
“The debate fiasco has opened up a lane for the family to surpass staff and start helping out their father and brother who they love dearly,” a source close to the family told NBC News.
The report said that convicted felon and admitted crack cocaine addict Hunter Biden’s appearance in White House meetings this week is just one example of what is “expected to be a deeper Biden family involvement” in the administration and on the campaign trail moving forward.
Jill and Hunter are said to be the main driving force keeping the president from dropping out of the presidential race.
The Biden family is reportedly in discussions about which advisers they should fire as they look to shake things up and deflect blame over Biden’s recent struggles.

This is not such a surprise. When Steve Bannon went after Jared and Ivanka, Trump naturally picked family over the outsider he had only met several years.ago. Biden’s kin will, of course, privilege his interests over those of either his Democrat challengers or the Democrat party.
The Democrat party will have many more chances at the presidency. This is likely the Biden family’s last bite at the apple. It’s unthinkable they would give up this second run. In a rare moment of insight, the Times’s Charles Blow described the mentality of people who go into politics:
Biden can’t be forced out of the race; he would have to be persuaded to leave it. And that eventuality, while not impossible, lives next door to “Never!”]
Ideologies and political parties are just vehicles for personal ambition. When Mark Warner drums up a case against Biden, he’s not doing it for the good of the Democrat party - he’s making a play for 2028. He did do an exploratory review for a White House run in 2008, then discovered he was a nobody with zero name recognition. If he manages to turf Biden, maybe he can sell himself as the savior of the Democrat party in 2028.

The whole situation smells more like the Balchernae palace of the Paleologues than the American Republic.

Then there’s the fact that every skeleton in your closet - including that Klan member uncle nobody liked - gets put on display. Random strangers approach you to hurl insults. People get in your face who wouldn’t normally do so if you held a non-political job.
What about having to put your career on hold, watch your peers in the private sector climb rung upon rung, while you put your things in moving boxes after losing an election? In a way, the never-wuzzers are better off than the winners who are eventually voted out, then have to start from scratch. At least Congresscritters get to be lobbyists. What about the Town Clerk and other low key but full-time political posts?
Don’t expect politicians to be better than people in the private sector. There’s a reason politicians are reviled - we place great expectations on jobs of short duration where the officeholders are granted a great deal of power, but have to deal with great volatility in their ability to feed their families. With work conditions like that, it’s hard to get quality people, whether in terms of ability or personal character.
We may be certain that Hunter's pardon is extensive, well-thought-out, complete and signed by FJB... only awaiting backdating, as may become necessary.
