President Trump is scheduled to appear at his first event with his mystery Vice Presidential running mate later this month during the RNC Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Trump revealed last month that he would officially announce his running mate at some point during the RNC.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump also told reporters prior to his massive rally in Philadelphia last month that he had already made his decision and that he had not told anybody, including the next Vice President. "Nobody knows," said Trump.
According to later reports and rumors, Trump had narrowed his list of potential running mates to three candidates: North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. However, it is unclear if this is accurate or mere speculation.
The July 18 event invitations read, "You are cordially invited to the Freedom First Event with the Nominee for Vice President and the 45th President of The United States Donald J. Trump before he formally accepts the presidential nomination."
Tickets range from $5,000 to $200,000, making this sure to be another massive fundraising haul for the Trump campaign.

Before heading to the RNC in Milwaukee, the Trump campaign also plans to hold two rallies next week: on July 9 in Doral, Florida, and on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. Get tickets to the upcoming rallies here.

I’d say it’s Rubio. As a Catholic Hispanic Trump could flip a lot of swing states like PA.

I wouldn’t read too much into that, unless Rubio crossed some line that Trump put in the sand.
There is a good chance that he is focused on the Latino vote, the American Latino vote who are loyal Americans.

I’d say it WON’T be Rubio because that FORFEITS 30 Florida electoral votes as per Constitution. I’m getting tired of all these posts that overlook that inconvenient FACT. OH, and NEWSFLASH! JD Vance is also Catholic.
Agreed. This announcement is meaningless, but a great way to attract attention, publicity, and name recognition for whomever the eventual VP nominee will be.

It won't be Rubio.
Trump will be fighting enough meritless legal battles should he win the election without needing to add the legitimate legal battle of both candidates being from Florida to his plate.
And he isn't going to relocate from Mar-a-Lago.
Rubio is not my first choice but he’s a winner of elections, Hispanic and has a potentially presidential image. I think he’d scare the left senseless. We all want a definitively non-globalist vp but I’m not sure there is one unless it’s Tucker or MTG.
Im not decided who I believe would be best for Veep, but these three all appear to be capable folks. One thing about Rubio is that either he or PDJT would have to move their state of residence (easy for Trump to do but would he want to, harder for Rubio?)
Let’s let the DNC keep their firm hold on the Constitutional Violations Prize (Obama, Harris...)
If it’s Rubio, who moves out of Florida? Does Rubio give up his Senate seat and move or does Trump move out of Mara Lego?
Right - one of them will have to change Florida residency.
I’ve never taken the talk of Rubio, DeSantis, Donalds seriously because of this.
It has been suggested they would only have to change their residency prior to the meeting of the Electoral College to get around this problem but that’s cutting it awfully close to risk losing on a technicality. (of course, if the ticket wins by more than 30 electoral votes then it becomes academic, but potentially forfeiting 30 electoral votes off the bad is certainly not a recipe for success).

I sure as hell don't want to touch a Senator's seat....so I'll go with Burgum.
Let Rubio keep Florida as a non option for the Dems.
It’s cool that he’s hyping this - but there’s no chance he’ll make a decision before knowing who he’s running against.
