That case is more about a security blanket for the former Presidents than Pres Trump.
If they said no immunity, they would still have to convict Pres Trump. All while the cases seem to be falling apart, folks are starting to question legitimacy of Smith and trials won’t happen until after the election. If he wins, all trials over.
As President, he can unleash the DOJ on his predecessors and they have no immunity. And their former staffers, SES types, department heads have even less
If, as The Left are saying, they really believe this ruling gives the President unlimited and unchecked power, expect Biden to begin to exercise that power, soon.
Now we know their next plan.
Trump 2.0 should TOTALLY transform his executive branch. Make the FBI go away and so much more.
I don’t agree with this article. Maybe the President can’t be prosecuted, but Congress can still impeach if they choose. Nothing in this ruling prevents them.
