Far-left Judge Juan Merchan delayed President Trump’s ‘hush money’ sentencing until September 18.
Earlier Tuesday Alvin Bragg’s office agreed to delay Trump’s sentencing set for July 11 after the Supreme Court decided on presidential immunity.

Judge Merchan said he will issue a ruling related to the presidential immunity argument on September 6.

The judge in Donald Trump’s New York criminal trial on Tuesday approved a delay of the former president’s sentencing after his lawyers asked for more time to review the potential impact of the Supreme Court’s immunity decision.
Trump’s lawyers have indicated that they want Judge Juan Merchan to toss out Trump’s felony conviction on 34 counts of falsified business records related to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The hearing, previously scheduled for July 11, will be delayed until at least September 18.

Judge will find that the acts Trump did were not “core Presidential duties” and were those of a civilian. He will then hem and haw, and sentence him to some sort of weekend house arrest to be able to show something gained for the dems before the election without causing an all-out civil war.

Trump can easily appeal this cas because the evidence presented by prosecutors contained evidence that the Supreme Court said is absolutely immune from prosecution. Merchan, the oily Columbian marxist, has been checkmated. All Trump trials are just noise now.
If Trump is elected then “judge” Merchan should be SWAT raided by the Trump DOJ. He knows this is the way the lawfare could swing. I personally have no sympathy for Merchan even it the SWAT raid makes him look like Swiss cheese.
He has to evaluate the odds that Trump will win in November, then sic the DOJ on him for election interference. Maybe RICO anyone who offers to pay his legal bills. Even if his bills are somehow paid, does he really want to roll the dice, risk prison and disbarment upon conviction?

This is not the basis for overturning the bogus Trump convictions, though there are several reasons. The most blatant basis for them being overturned come from the ruling from SCOTUS stating that juries must vote unanimously on each criminal count.

I think a lot of people were prematurely celebrating. I had a gut feeling these corrupt monsters, these evil demons have Trump by the short hairs and they’re not going to let go. Correct, it does not. We won big on the Smith stuff, not so much on the NY stuff. By putting sentence off closer to election makes any possibility of getting before any state appellate court virtually impossible. There are violations of the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th amendments here and delay in getting those in the mix is not good.
Two adages come to mind here. Never get in the way of your enemy doing things against their interests and never underestimate your enemy.
The optics will be very different, though.
In September President Trump will the legally nominated Republican candidate for President.
An immigrant from another country who becomes an "acting" interim judge appointed by other judges to fill a temporary shortage in a county court who then jails the leading candidate in the next Presidential election is not going to be received well.
Merchan would quickly become the face of massive liberal overreach and will forever be associated with bringing literal "banana republic" justice to the United States.
