Donald Trump's recent proposal to give a green card to every immigrant who gets a degree from any college reminded me of his performance at the 2020 debates with Joe Biden.
Here's the 15-second version:
"You did a crime bill, 1994, where you called them super-predators. African Americans are super-predators and they've never forgotten it. They've never forgotten it."
"I'm letting people out of jail now ... you have treated the African American population community, you have treated the black community about as bad as anybody in this country."
"If you look at the polls, I'm doing better than any Republican has done [with African Americans] in a long time ..."
"Nobody has done more for the black community than Donald Trump ... Criminal justice reform ... prison reform, opportunity zones with Tim Scott ..."
"Biggest beneficiary, the black and Hispanic communities and then historically black colleges and universities ..."
"If you look at the kind of numbers that we produce for Hispanic, or black, or Asian, it's nine times greater, the percentage gain than it was under [Obama]."
"We had the best black unemployment numbers in the history of our country, Hispanic, women, Asian ..."
And on and on and on.
Trump never mentioned whites, not once, in either debate. Nor the rural, working-class, or left-behind Americans.
That's not how Trump won in 2016. This is how he won -- and also how he lost four years later.
For decades, Democrats, Republicans, Wall Street, universities, the media and corporate America had dumped on rural whites and the working class. Liberal elites had to demonize the people they’d screwed over to justify the untold riches they’d made on NAFTA and global “free trade.”

It’s funny isn’t it? Victor David Hanson said it best a couple days ago with Megyn Kelly.
Before 2016, just about all of us here, would read avidly and post the articles of people like George Will, Jonah Goldberg, Ann Coulter and many others including several from National Review.
NOW, no one reads this crap from these people, and they blame it on Trump.
So, naturally all of them are Anti-Trumpers, with Ann Coulter at the head of the list.
Are you referring to the debate rules?
I don’t think he cares. He’s the most confident person I’ve ever seen. Well, maybe second to George Patton.
I don’t think he cares about the rules.
I heard him say on the campaign trail that you could give Biden the questions ahead of time and a teleprompter to answer them, and he’d still debate him.
Think about that.
The only people complaining about the debate rules are people on our side. Trump couldn’t care less about the rules. He called their bluff and got Biden to debate.
Have you watched many if any of the Trump rallies? I’ve seen just about all of them. I’ve seen him talk without a teleprompter with organized thought.
I remember a debate stage in 2016 election with some 18 rivals? He chipped away at all of them, leaving Cruz at the end.
He’s a counter puncher. IF what they say are saying is true, that Biden will try to irritate Trump and get him to meltdown, it won’t happen. Instead he will crush him with counter organized responses.
Even if they try to shut down his mike and not let him talk, he will get his thoughts across clearly and simply for everyone to understand.
Oh, and here’s one last thing for anti-trumpets like you. A lot of people are praying quietly for this man, so yes you might have three people up there debating him, but Trump has That Someone bigger on his side.
WHO IS SHE MARRIED TO?
“”I didn’t trust Trump prior to 2016 because of his relationship with the Clintons.”
What exactly is wrong with that statement?
2. No
“You’re a never Trumper hack”
No, I merely criticized his disastrous first debate against Biden in 2016.
That is all. You people are the single most thin-skinned individuals I have ever met.
George Conway?
Senior Moment
Contrary to popular opinion, Trump is not a good debater.

Well good thing this isn’t a debate, right?
“”I didn’t trust Trump prior to 2016 because of his relationship with the Clintons.”
What exactly is wrong with that statement?

Nothing wrong with that statement. I also was worried about Trump sliding to the center and shmoozing with the likes of schumer, pelosi, etc...based on his ‘friendship’ with the clintons.
It took about 1 week after the election when I realized how ridiculous that fear was.
I purchased 3 of coulters books and it haunts me to this day. She clearly is being ‘controlled’ or blackmailed or something. Maybe the rumors that she has a d*ck are actually true? Who knows.
But you don’t right a book titled “in Trump we trust” with almost embarrassing a**kissing of the man and then do 180 on him using the ‘excuse’ that he wasn’t tough enough on illegal immigration. Sorry, she’s controlled. I hope she’s in hell.
WHAT?? That is Kellyanne’s ex husband!!
He doesn’t have to preach to the choir, Ann.
