Donald Trump's recent proposal to give a green card to every immigrant who gets a degree from any college reminded me of his performance at the 2020 debates with Joe Biden.
Here's the 15-second version:
"You did a crime bill, 1994, where you called them super-predators. African Americans are super-predators and they've never forgotten it. They've never forgotten it."
"I'm letting people out of jail now ... you have treated the African American population community, you have treated the black community about as bad as anybody in this country."
"If you look at the polls, I'm doing better than any Republican has done [with African Americans] in a long time ..."
"Nobody has done more for the black community than Donald Trump ... Criminal justice reform ... prison reform, opportunity zones with Tim Scott ..."
"Biggest beneficiary, the black and Hispanic communities and then historically black colleges and universities ..."
"If you look at the kind of numbers that we produce for Hispanic, or black, or Asian, it's nine times greater, the percentage gain than it was under [Obama]."
"We had the best black unemployment numbers in the history of our country, Hispanic, women, Asian ..."
And on and on and on.
Trump never mentioned whites, not once, in either debate. Nor the rural, working-class, or left-behind Americans.
That's not how Trump won in 2016. This is how he won -- and also how he lost four years later.
For decades, Democrats, Republicans, Wall Street, universities, the media and corporate America had dumped on rural whites and the working class. Liberal elites had to demonize the people they’d screwed over to justify the untold riches they’d made on NAFTA and global “free trade.”

Trump didn’t lose the last election. It was stolen. He has backed off on the green cards.
Ann is your original no Trumper. It’s really not clear why she was so repulsed by Trump considering her jaded boy friends. Trump was never good enough for her. Her demands were like those of a demented ex wife. Ann Coulter is the Betty Broderick of the burnt out parasites who made a buck off of conservatives. Ann Coulter was a lap dancer for conservatives. I bought several of her books.

I just don’t “get” Ann. I met her briefly more than a dozen years ago, and at that time she was “all in” on Mittens Romney (this was before he was the 2012 GOP nominee). How well did that work out for us? I’ll remind you, Annie... Mittens got his magic-underwear-covered @$$ handed to him by Barry Obama. Four years later Trump did what Mittens could not. And all Ann has done since is whine that the he didn’t live up to her expectations. She’s the classic example of making the perfect the enemy of the enemy of the good.
Agro-Americans will be ignored until they get Kim K. to shake her booty on their behalf.
The first debate he was just out of the hospital with Covid. I remember Rush Limbaugh saying the next day ‘I don’t even know what that was.’... and suggesting we all just forget it. Rush was right, he did very well the next debate despite the headwinds from the moderator.
Her and Drudge were close at the time. They both somehow expected Trump to deliver a bright shiny new wall from San Diego to Brownsville within 3 months of getting into office.
Biden will call Trump a felon and election denier on live television, maybe worse more outrageous things to throw him off balance. You know how they lie. He may take credit for some of the good things Trump did right there on television. Biden is pretty brazen. How will Trump respond?
Biden is already taking credit for Trump’s price caps on insulin in his campaign ads... so you are right... he’ll try to rile up Trump with that sort of nonsense.

Ann offering advice on how to win means nothing if she ignores facts.
Trump is the only candidate that received more votes for a second term. That means he gained support. Bush didn’t, Clinton didn’t, Obama didn’t.
Trump already has support in rural areas and will never change the minds of white liberal women. A waste of time. So he is focusing on other groups.

As far as I know Ann Coulter has never been married. I have heard it said that her pronounced goozle has scared some men off.
She is a loser looking for relevance. Bitter, illogical and vituperative.
I think that was a sarcastic reference to her friend Matt Drudge, who is no woman’s ‘man.’
