In an ongoing lawsuit concerning the 2020 election, attorneys for Fulton County, Georgia, made a controversial argument yesterday. They suggested that a temporary injunction preserving the 2020 Fulton election ballots should be lifted, which would allow the ballots to be destroyed before they are unsealed, copied, and revealed to the public.
The attorneys also contended that Fulton County should receive attorney fees for the case, despite a Georgia Supreme Court ruling that overturned lower court decisions and confirmed standing for the plaintiffs who seek to copy and inspect the ballots, according to the VoterGA.
Representing Fulton Superior Court Clerk Che Alexander, Attorney Laura Moore made the case that there is no longer room in a secure warehouse cage for the ballots, so they may now be destroyed.
Moore conveniently omitted from her argument that Fulton County recently opened a new 60,000 sq. ft. Election Operations warehouse at an initial cost of nearly 30 million and an additional 4 million annual lease for Fulton taxpayers, per VoterGA.
More from the VoterGA press release:
Attorney Kaye Burwell argued that the county should receive attorney fees for costs incurred so far because Plaintiffs’ claims, which are still yet to be adjudicated, are“meritless”.
Burwell ignored all rulings showing Plaintiffs in the case, currently known as Favorito v. Wan, were granted relief eight times thus proving their claims are legitimate. The rulings include:
1. A temporary injunction to preserve all ballots on Jan. 7, 2021;
2. An order to produce scanned absentee ballot images on April 16, 2021;
3. An order upholding two Open Records Request claims on April 20, 2021;
4. A motion granted to add the county and clerk as Defendants on April 21, 2021;
5. An order to unseal the ballots for inspection and copying on May 21, 2021;
6. An order granting Petitioners’ motion to add parties on June 24, 2021;
7. A Georgia Supreme Court order confirming Plaintiffs’ standing claim on Dec. 12, 2022;
8. An appeals court adoption of the higher order for Fulton plaintiffs on May 11, 2023.
Lead Plaintiff Garland Favorito added, “Watching the attorneys make such ludicrous, dishonest arguments with a straight face while seeking to destroy the ballots and charge us fees for winning arguments in court against them only serves to remind me of the massive Fulton County corruption that threatens the voting rights of every Georgian.”
Judge Robert McBurney is expected to rule soon on the motion for fees, the temporary injunction for the ballots and a Plaintiff motion to substitute Defendants with new members of the Fulton County Election Board who the court can compel to act if it grants further relief.

Isn’t Fulton Georgia Big Fani country?
This is such an important case. We desperately need a full audit. I don’t even care what the final result is. We just need a review that can be trusted
Bingo..................
Ratburger? Kemp? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The name of the game is stall ball. Georgia’s version of the four corners offense, which is now obsolete.
Kemp is such a coward. Another quivering mass like Mike Pence.
eff this garbage country.
My guess is because unknown "someones" assisted him in "winning" in 2018.
I think the price for that victory was Georgia's 2020 electoral votes and the 2 US Senate seats.
They sure are fighting awful hard to keep the people from seeing those ballots
Bought. China owns him.
Fulton County and the state of Georgia are totally corrupt.
They should have road signs warning people ENTERING CORRUPT FULTON COUNY BEWARE!
With 2024 they're going to make up the numbers by allowing illegal aliens to vote. And if those votes get counted, none of the lower courts will allow any investigation into the citizenship of those who filled out the ballots.
Wise up, GOP, and get an army of election lawyers deployed at the polls on Election Day. Do no wait until these votes have already been added to the official count to try and get them thrown out in court.
Kemp is a Never-Trumper who did a dirty deal with Dominion (along with Raffesperger). The deal was that they get to keep their cushy state jobs as long as the two Senate seats went to the Dems.
Kemp is hated by the MAGA base, yet Dominion had him at a STEADY 75% when counting the primary votes from beginning to end.
Conservative voters cannot overcome the RINO scum paired with the getto Democrat cheat machine in GA.
Not all of Georgia. I live in Walton County where 74% of ballots cast in 2020 were for Trump.
They’re the high profile names but for damned sure not the only ones.
There are a few majority black counties that will always vote Black Democrat no how dangerous and expensive, with nothing but corruption and blatant wasteful spending.
Cobb and Gwinnett counties used to be as well run and Conservative as any place in the country. The voting demographic is has changed. Illegals, refugees and liberals from up north did it. But, if elections were run to the letter of the law, no illegals voting, fully transparent, no late night drops, nothing, I’m not saying those counties would still be blood red, but I don’t think they changed that much. Could be wrong, unfortunately
I brought that motion before the Republican Party of Polk Country, GA., but they defeated the motion. Go figure.
You Georgians can just thank that rat you have for a Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for destroying any integrity you had in your voting/election process.
GA had(has) a bunch of Never-Trumper nimrods in the GOP.
To have the level of cheating they saw, the GOP had to be in on it.
