Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed a lawsuit against the State of New York "for their direct attack on our democratic process through unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump."
Bailey first announced the lawsuit Thursday evening on the social media platform X, writing that "it’s time to restore the rule of law."
He encouraged the public to "stay tuned" for more developments on the lawsuit.

My two cents, I don’t think the federal courts will take this up.
How is this supposed to work?
Can he put New York in prison and stop them from speaking publicly?
otherwise its not even close
They will get knocked down on standing as per usual.
I think you’re right
This is a Federal lawsuit about voting rights and the Federal Election Commission.
New York is trying to act as the Federal government by invoking federal laws that it has no right to prosecute. The former FEC chairman testified to that in front of Congress.
Thus it is another state arrogating the right to act as the Federal Union on its own. And thus it is indeed an issue that a federal court should take up.
It is also the reason I continue to say on this forum that NY should be expelled from the Union. The other 49 states shouldn’t be held hostage to the abuse of power that NY engages in.
But first things first. ALL the Republican AG’s should jump in and not take no for an answer.
