NBC News is having a nervous breakdown over the Biden administration not doing enough to fight so-called “domestic disinformation” before the 2024 election.
“The Biden admin has no firm plan to call out domestic disinformation in the 2024 election,” NBC News whined in its June 19 headline. The outlet whined that the reason for this hesitation is due to Americans being fed up after dealing with the FBI and Department of Homeland Security being exposed for extensively coordinating censorship strategies with Big Tech companies at least since the 2020 election cycle.
“Although cyber experts in and outside of government expect an onslaught of disinformation and deepfakes during this year’s election campaign, officials in the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security remain worried that if they weigh in, they will face accusations that they are attempting to tilt the election in favor of President Joe Biden’s re-election,” NBC News wrote. How terrible that Biden’s Ministry of Truth got the heebie-jeebies about being potentially called out for interfering in another election, right NBC?

“disinformation” meaning “anything liberals disagree with”

But...but CA is a blue state...
SNORT.
As voters start paying attention and increasingly realize just how awful Biden really is, this sort of realization must be "debunked" as disinformation and deepfakes. Uh huh.
“The only way to make a bad idea seem like a good idea is to silence the good idea that shows just how bad the bad idea really is” L.Star
Disinformation from who? Just call a spade a spade already and say they are censoring Americans, circumventing the first Amendment. This is actually the Marxist insurgency and needs to be punished if Trump gets back into office.
I am so disgusted with the GOP. As long as they continue to let the lefturds control the terms of the argument, THEY WILL LOSE.
The advancement of ‘gov-speak’ is truly frightening. ‘Disinformation’, for example, is gov-speak that means ‘any narrative other than ours’.
Coupled with ‘public education’, gov-speak achieves Orwell’s 1984, just a few years later...
Sad to watch ths great nation being killed by the left, and there are not millions more of us fighting back.

Title: “The Silent Epidemic: How Inaction on Domestic Disinformation Threatens Our Democracy”
By: Carlos Moreno, Senior Fellow, Center for Critical Thinking
As a nation, we pride ourselves on being a beacon of freedom and democracy. Yet, a silent epidemic threatens to undermine the very fabric of our society: domestic disinformation. It’s no longer a matter of if, but when, this insidious threat will manifest in catastrophic consequences. And I’m not alone in sounding the alarm.
As a senior fellow at the Center for Critical Thinking, I’ve dedicated my career to studying the perils of disinformation and the importance of fact-based discourse. The evidence is clear: domestic disinformation is rampant, and our response has been woefully inadequate.
The statistics are staggering. According to a recent study by the Pew Research Center, nearly 70% of Americans believe that fabricated news stories have become more common over the past few years. This is not surprising, given the ease with which misinformation can spread on social media platforms. A single false claim can be amplified thousands of times in a matter of hours, reaching millions of people.
But it’s not just the quantity that’s alarming – it’s the quality too. Disinformation often targets specific groups, amplifying existing biases and exacerbating societal divisions. The consequences are far-reaching: increased polarization, decreased trust in institutions, and even physical harm to individuals who are misinformed or misled.
So, what’s being done to combat this threat? Unfortunately, not nearly enough. Governments and tech companies are still playing catch-up, while policymakers and media outlets seem more concerned with scoring political points than tackling the root causes of disinformation.
We need to acknowledge that domestic disinformation is a national security issue. It’s no longer just about fake news; it’s about undermining our ability to make informed decisions as citizens. We’re talking about a crisis that affects everyone – regardless of political affiliation or demographic background.
Here are some concrete steps that need to be taken:
Increased funding: We need to allocate more resources to combat disinformation. This includes funding for fact-checking initiatives, research into the spread of misinformation, and education programs that promote media literacy.
Regulatory action: Tech companies must be held accountable for allowing disinformation to spread unchecked on their platforms. This includes implementing stricter moderation policies and transparency measures.
Media literacy education: Schools must prioritize media literacy education from an early age. This includes teaching students how to identify credible sources, evaluate information critically, and avoid spreading misinformation.
Government transparency: Government agencies must be transparent about their own information dissemination practices and provide clear guidance on how to verify official information.
As a society, we can no longer afford to ignore this crisis. We must come together to address the root causes of disinformation and promote a culture of fact-based discourse.
As I’ve said before, “Silence is complicity.” We can’t afford to remain silent any longer.

NBC and their ‘intelligence goons’ define “domestic disinformation” as citizens speaking who have a different opinion than theirs.
Thuggy totalitarians... NBC sucks.
But, that's their job! You don't think the Republicrats are an actual opposition party, do you?
As long as they continue to sup at the Deep State trough, they're perfectly content to be the Washington Generals to the Harlem Globetrotters.
NBC News....concerned with “domestic disinformation” ...
There is often a lot of truth in disinformation. It’s mixed with a lie here and there. Of course, democrat disinformation is okie dokie, you see. Drink any bleach, lately?

Smoke screen. Biden has no “plan” because the “plan” is in a perpetual state of operation already, and has been for decades. The “plan”, of course, is the perpetual government/DNC disinformation campaign which lies, covers up, distorts, and pillories truth tellers & whistleblowers.
Is this the same news organization that for three years insisted that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the election?
aka the truth
“Domestic misinformation” apparently is anything that doesn’t agree with their distorted, criminal view of reality. What pathetic goobers... I laugh at and disregard their mentally-challenged and reality-distorting perspectives.
