I would like to move some Bitcoin to cold storage, but the thought of doing it wrong and losing it forever scares the Obama out of me.
If you have done it, how did you do it, how do you store the wallet, and what is the possibility of messing it up and losing it forever?

Well I published a paper on packaging for cold chain distribution but that was for medical products not Bitcoin.

I wish I could help you but the thought scares the Obama out of me.

It’s all about remembering (writing down) the ten-twelve random words associated with your wallet. If you have those, you have your money. Lose them, and you just dropped your wallet full of cash on the street.

If YOU would like to be on a CRYPTO PING LIST, please pm me.
The Crypto Ping List covers the following:
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Other coins built on the Ethereum blockchain mining
etc.
CAN ANYONE LEND HIM A HAND??

Ledger works well for me. Not sure I would put a billion dollars worth of crypto on it but for smaller amounts it is straightforward to use and I had no trouble transferring a balance from Coinbase.

Owning Bitcoin ETF shares is not the same thing as owning Bitcoin.

Once power is gone and thereβs no more internet, itβs all gone anyways. How will that be different from banks and credit card companies when power is gone and there's no more internet???

It is worldwide
And if the power goes out, the record of ownership is stored until the power comes back on.

It will be about the same. I’m playing the devil’s advocate here, just making sure people see the big picture. We are headed right into a wall.

Some German guy lost $300 million in bitcoin because he forgot to write down his combination.
