CENSORSHIP: USA Today Newspapers Delete Column by Republican Senator John Kennedy Without Telling Him
Gateway Pundit ^ | May. 24, 2024 | Mike LaChance

Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana recently wrote an opinion column that was critical of trans athletes and USA Today-owned newspapers deleted the piece without even notifying Kennedy.

This is reminiscent of the time in 2020 when Republican Senator Tom Cotton wrote an op-ed for the New York Times that was censored because it sent the paper’s staffers into fits of rage. Cotton had suggested using the military to control the riots in the ‘summer of love.’

Isn’t it fascinating that this censorship always seems to go in only one direction?

...

Kennedy commented:

“They think they are the speech police. Drunk on certainty and virtue, they think they are our moral teacher. This attitude is why so many Americans have lost confidence in the media. The media is not going to win that trust back until they return to neutrality instead of advocacy,” Kennedy said.

...

Do you think any newspaper in the country would dare delete a column by a senator like Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders no matter what it said?

Not a chance.

The Ministry of Truth knows “ disinformation “ when it sees it.

When USA Today started, they wrote and produced the best newspaper I had ever read up to that point.
They seemed to have everything a News fan could want.
Maybe 10 years later, I began to see the clear liberal bias in their reporting, or lack thereof.

Maybe he can get his article published in another publication.

USA Today is the MSNBC of the print world.

And they have also ruined every small town newspaper they have taken over.

Where does he think he is? A free country? Where the Dems allow freedom of speech to opposing viewpoints?

This is the United States in 2024.

RE: Maybe he can get his article published in another publication.

Or nail it on a tree trunk as a broadside like Samuel Adams’ Boston Sons of Liberty. 🧾🌳

If we get canceled and doxxed and shadowbanned and demonetized and deplatformed and have professional credentials removed due to being conservative, the trees will be the way to communicate.

I still remember when they started, I too enjoyed their reporting, especially the state-by-state reports. But I also remember them taking less than a week to show they were just more Leftists, at least on their editorial page.

You gotta wonder who is behind the trans push. I realize it is just a plot to weaken the US. For every faggot beating women in sports, thousands of young people are being baptized on the beaches, in rivers, at concerts, even on some campuses.

I don't wonder all that much. I start by looking to see who's making money off of it. All those surgeries aren't being done on a pro bono basis. And nobody's just giving away those hormone supplements.

Satan may be the "but for" cause of it, but for the "proximate cause," one need look no further than today's medical industry.

USA Today, Washington Post, New York Times and others that are leftist “newspapers” are biased...period! They live in their own 1984 world and they seem to like it. They will be replaced soon with AI and I will not feel sorry for them. If these papers would report the news and keep their opinions strictly in the “Editorial Page” and not infuse everything they print with leftist bias...they might survive. Part of me hopes not.

I would have to be in a foreign country with no newspapers written in English to read the USA Today. Which I have been in that situation.

Oh, I agree!

And ropes can be our punctuation!
