Happy 75th birthday to Billy Joel! What songs are you listening to in celebration?
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
Scenes From An Itillian Resturaunt.
I like a lot of Billy Joel’s music. If I had to pick one song it would probably be She’s Always a Woman.
Congratulations on the gold..
Okay, I’ll try. You can help, too!
Anyone can correct and edit...
Some J6 people stay far away from the door
If there’s a chance of it opening without a warrant
They hear a voice in the hall outside
And hope that the squatters pass by
Some people live with the fear of a punch
or being pushed in the subway train’s way
They will not listen to the news at night
So nobody tells them inflation’s not high
I know you’re only protecting this place
I know you’re thinking of America you used to embrace
But Biden just wants to hear you cry,
As your social security and Medicare runs dry,
And Trump get’s witch trials that just never die.
Because I am an elderly man
So many great songs....my top 3:
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant
The Entertainer
You’re My Home (a real hidden gem from “Piano Man” album)
My fellow Lawn Guylander! “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” is the only song ever written where I never change the station or forward the track. Close second is “She’s Right on Time” from “The Nylon Curtain.”
You just overlooked it.

Thanks.
Lol. I was joking. I like most of his stuff. Just not that!
I second the motion
Vienna and Zanzibar
Both are great! My husband and I are fans. Billy Joel also did a beautiful collaborative song with Ray Charles some years ago called Baby Grand. Check it out, you’ll like it!
Also, to note: Billy is also a classical pianist. Does exquisite work on the ivories.
Love that one! Great choice!
