I like “Modern Woman” because it was featured in “Ruthless People”.

Very true, but I am ever hopeful there is more coming, and that it will be more a man and his piano ;)

I was just thinking of that one. It is a really good song that many people never heard.

My favorite use of a Billy Joel song was in 2000 when the
Hillary for Senate campaign used a Billy Joel Greatest Hits CD for crowd music before she took the stage at for a stump speech.
Clinton was running late and the CD kept playing, until "Captain Jack" came on and it reminded everyone about Bill Clinton.

"Stiletto is a great song."Yes, it is.
And, from the same album, "Zanzibar" and "Rosalinda's Eyes."
"52nd Street" was the only Billy Joel album I ever owned, and it was an 8-track tape.

“Until the Night” is a good song too, his tribute to The Righteous Brothers.

It’s a tie for #1:
Goodnight Saigon
I’ve Loved These Days

Joel often points to that one as an example of his worst lyric writing, a "I don't know what I was thinking" moment.
From a town known
As Wheeling, West Virginia
Rode a boy with a six-gun in his hand
And his daring life of crime
Made him a legend in his time
East and west of the Rio Grande
Joel eventually figured out that the Rio Grande flows mostly south at the United States border.
But it rhymed.

I would also have said Innocent Man.
I think the composition of that song is brilliant.

Joel eventually figured out that the Rio Grande flows mostly south at the United States border. Any man left on the Rio Grande, is the King of the World, as far as I know.
(Oh wait, different band)

None. I hate the conceited little imp.

He really knew how to tell a story with his music.
Even though his “Billy the Kid” was inaccurate, it’s another favorite.
