Student protesters at Princeton University who have embarked upon a hunger strike for Palestine are angry that the school is not obeying their demands that the school is not monitoring their health, and even claim that the school is forcing them to do this.

Grow up and monitor your own.
If you choose to not eat, the health implications are your responsibility alone. Nobody is obligated to baby you and pander to your temper tantrums.
But there are energy drinks. They re not food, and they are not water.
I agree with Thatcher. It was self inflicted.
They should have been given food three times a day as normal prisoners were and if they chose not to eat, it was on them.
the sanitation route was beyond disgusting. But they did it to themselves.
Adults know the consequences of not eating. Their choice.
I received mine exactly 47 years ago today on my 23rd birthday. I was assigned to lead a second platoon. Coincidentally, it was selected for a training evaluation. I flunked it, but it was a great learning experience.
After catching crap for about a month, my attitude changed to “ok, I get it. If my neck is going to be on the line, then stay out of my way.” Taking responsibility for your actions is a much easier way to live your life. Less cluttered, significantly more clarity.
Two months later, I was evaluated with my first platoon, piece of cake. Over the next 15 months, I had as many tac evals as the other 3 platoon leaders combined. It just worked out that way. I was moved to other platoons that “needed help.”

only in correctional settings where the state is responsible for the health of the wards of the state is it necessary to monitor health. voluntary non supervised dieting is your right as a citizen. when the finally lose consciousness like a fentanyl overdose are emergency services provided if called.
one word of advice to cure their health concerns: EAT!

as a general rule, one can survive only three days without water ... after that, organs start to shut down and kidneys could shut down permanently ...
