—love how Simon’s expectations were set so low because so many have performed this song
This is a very unique and beautiful version that I predict she will win this — in fact she should release this song NOW as a single
I was in Simon’s camp...and with him now.
Wow!
Amen !

Would love to hear her do gospel !
Thank you for sharing this. It was really amazing to see that young woman’s entire demeanor change as she started singing- I’ve noticed this in other people who are amazing singers.
I am sure I am not the only one who will be sharing this on social media.
I agree - The first gospel song I would love to hear Sydnie Christmas release is “How Great Thou Art” - I often put Carrie Underwood version on repeat as worship.
I think she would have her own version that would be up there with Carrie

When I posted this I expected to see a few hundred more views - I suspect many of the views are from viewers who have watched it more than once.
Again, hoping to see her do some classic gospel music she has both the personality stage presence and voice to do a full praise and worship session !

She made me “hear” this well known song for the very first time. Just wow!!! Thanks.
Totally get it !
Well, I think that’s the 4th time I have listened...all the way through.
Annie was one of my favorite Broadway Shows and I played that LP repeatedly for several years.
Sydnie just did a version of that song that way it should’ve been done.
And now I cannot see my keyboard...again.
Quite a talent.
That was a stunning performance, and such an adept variety of vocalizations. I hope she makes it big, but does not become spoiled by it like Adele. I understand that Susan Boyle is still a sweet and kind member of her home village.
I look forward to seeing how long until she is on Spotify

I made an incorrect assumption that she did not have a Spotify artist profile.
I just checked and she has 2 tracks from 2024 - Tomorrow is NOT one of them. - she needs to get more content out there and ride it this AGT wave !

My purpose in following the data of views and likes is to compare it to other “good performances”. There is something very different about a performance from an unknown artist that results in following the artist as they navigate their newly found “fame”.
There are only a few “talent show” performances that I have followed this closely
1. Bianca Ryan from 2006/2007 - she was incredible but too young —. I remember Pierce Morgan reminding her that she was only 11 years old and that if she kept singing like “that” she would lose her voice
2. Going back a few years to Carrie Underwoods talent show audition and performances—. Well you know how that turned out for her.
3. Darcy Lynn the ventriloquist now turning solo artist seems to be a challenge for her - keeping an eye on how she navigates her career.
—- now steps in Sydnie Christmas who came on the stage with her quirky humor genuinely enjoying the moment and delivering a cover of “Tomorrow” that made many of us who have grown to “hate” that song when used in talent shows because it is so often performed just like the original which to be honest makes you remember the original artist and we tend to quickly forget the name and face of the one who just performed it - solidifying our “hate” for the song because the end result of most performances is that the artist covering it was unknown when they stepped on the stage and unknown when they walked off.
So what is so different about THIS performance by Sydnie Christmas? Why will many of us who did know her name before watching this performance- will now be following her career path?

Update: 03 May 2024
Having spent some time trying to figure out why Sydnie Christmas is working at a gym instead of touring with Carrie Underwood?
I am interested in hearing more about her personal story. I believe she had a gift from God and if she uses her gift to praise Him she can impact the world.
My 2cents worth. What say you?
Views of this version alone increased to 4,533,156 just during the time I was posting my thoughts.
I noticed that with Susan Boyle’s first appearance, and basically any time she sings.
