Addressing former president Donald Trump’s claim during Holy Week 2024 that Christianity is under attack in this country, three pastors from Gamaliel affiliate MICAH-Milwaukee recently spoke with CNN correspondent Donie O’Sullivan. During the interview, Rev. Joe Jackson, Rev. Dennis Jacobsen, and Rev. Richard Shaw described the dangers of Christian Nationalism, an egregious form of authoritarianism that is sweeping the nation.
For the last few years, Gamaliel has been actively engaged in a movement of national organizing networks working to address authoritarianism—currently one of the most significant threats to our democracy and political plurali —through effective community organizing.
In December 2022 at Gamaliel’s 4 th Biennial Race and Power Summit held in Baltimore, Gamaliel’s National Religious Leaders Caucus hosted Jim Wallis to learn more about the threat of Christian Nationalism. (Wallis is the inaugural holder of the Chair in Faith and Justice at the McCourt School of Public Policy and founding Director of the Georgetown University Center on Faith and Justice, and the author of The False White Gospel: Rejecting Christian Nationalism, Reclaiming True Faith, and Refounding Democracy.)
Since the Race and Power gathering, Gamaliel affiliates around the network have launched robust campaigns to begin addressing the threat of Christian Nationalism. MICAH—Milwaukee Inner-City Congregations Allied for Hope—launched the “We All Belong” campaign in August 2023. Their mission is to “Protect Democracy, Reject ‘christian’ nationalism, and Build the Beloved Community.” They are educating congregations and communities about the dangers of Christian Nationalism, in addition to organizing them around Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s Beloved Community

These pastor's are criticizing Trump when their deception is they are truly Marxist-Socialist warriors. LETS see what FORMER EMPLOYEES like me have to say once they left this Organization these pastors REPRESENT!!
Influencewatch.org tells us about the Gamaliel Foundation Ideological Deception:
1) The Gamaliel Foundation deliberately downplays the Far-Left ideology that stands behind their carefully targeted campaigns” As one observer put it, Gamaliel Foundation “Fuses their Left-extremist political beliefs with a smooth, non-ideological surface of down-to-earth pragmatism.
2) Advocacy of immoral means: according to an account by a former Gamaliel Foundation Staffer: Chief Director and creator of the Gamaliel Organization Greg Galluzo stated, “The ends justify the means and told them to have an impact on society we had to be willing to lie, cheat, and steal for the greater good.”
3) The Gamaliel Foundation funding comes from several left leaning groups including the George Soros Open Society Institute
Leftists don’t believe in God, but they work overtime to undermine Him.
Thank you for posting this. It is well orchestrated appealing leftism, in the guise of Christianity.
I have never met a Christian Nationalist. If there are any, they wouldn’t fill a circus clown car.
LOL. Jim Wallis. LOL.
These people are insane. Let them name popular influential ‘Christian Nationalists’!
Maybe Ben Shapiro? Kash Patel? Vivek Ramaswamy? Tucker Carlson?
Where does one find Christian Nationalists? I wouldn’t even know where to look.
Are they like Doug Wilson’s group in Moscow?
What kind of churches do CN people go to?
TRUE!!
Those so called PASTORS are not being persecuted because they have a watered down theology of inclusion of every life style, and every sinful practice condemned in the Bible. If they preached the content of the Bible, they would be persecuted... Just real simple to understand.
YES!! I fell for it BUT, I am thankful God is using it for good to expose these folks for who they really are!!
Archie: Your Rev. Fletcher never worked a day in his life.
Edith: It’s ‘Felcher’.
Archie: Whatever!
Glenn Beck was discussing “Christian Nationalism” on his radio show yesterday. Defining it is something along the lines of “because this country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles, to restore the country we need to somehow convert everyone to Christianity & make it a national religion.” As John Adams said, this form of gov’t is only suited to a moral & religious people.
I don’t know of any group that is promoting such an idea. But George Soros is probably creating one (or funding some nutjob who’s saying such things) to create the villain they need.
Newsome as to make April I be,eive it is, “muslim heretige appreciation moth” or some such nonsense- at this point, those who wish the destruction of this nation are just rubbing their antiamericiansm in our faces.
The left are out to destroy Christianity and usher in islam to the us, just as liberals in nations like Germany have done
The only “Christian nationalists” that I know of were in the Christian Nationalist Crusade, a Judeophobic and white-supremacist group led by Gerald L. K. Smith that died out about 50 years ago.
What these people - and most of the media - fail to realize is that you can’t have competing worldviews all accepted as the foundation for a society. If our society was based on Hinduism, for instance, killing cows would be illegal and killing people would be legal. If our society was based on the Koran, non-Muslims would be slaves or dead. If our society was based on Marxism, property ownership would be illegal and there would be no such thing as theft.
The worldview within a society’s laws is huge, and it cannot be all of the above at once.
When we say that the US is founded on Judeo-Christianity that means that we base our laws on the sanctity of human life that is expressed in the Bible - Old and New Testaments.
I’m going to C&P a letter to the editor that I’ve unsuccessfully tried to get published in my local papers, Omaha World-Herald, Lincoln Journal-Star, and NYT. I think it addresses this issue and it’s something that should be brought up when the media gets into this “Christian nationalism” hype:
Brave New World
Indiana protects fetuses. Plaintiffs sued saying their religion (Judaism) requires abortion if it would make a woman happy. The court ruled that protecting fetuses thus violates IN’s religious freedom law. Even legal “persons” can lawfully be killed if someone’s religion requires it.
WEF head Klaus Schwab religiously believes that 90% of the world’s people need to die. When some rejected mandatory jabs for Covid, stealth inoculation came up: in water, food, air, and through mosquitoes. The methods work for vaccines and poisons.
Physical insertion against consent is called rape and poisoning to death is called murder. But if the IN ruling stands it’s all now “freedom of religion”.
Know this: YOU are the fetus now.
Well-said.
Too true. I’ve been waiting for the emergence of a new Aztec religion with a demand they be allowed to sacrifice a human being. I’m really shocked it hasn’t happened. Maybe they want to see how well Satanism gets established before they try that one.
They hate CHRISTIANS nationalists.
The SAtanists are also suing in FL, IIRC, saying that fetus sacrifice is their religion.
I didn’t mention it in the letter, but Islamists also claim their religion demands them to kill non-Muslims who won’t pay a tax to the Muslims.
If the IN ruling stands, anyplace that guarantees religious freedom will allow jihad. It’s a wonder that the Islamists haven’t sued DHS yet, although I guess it may be just as effective for them to get DHS to see that non-Muslims are the real terrorists...
Correction: to SAY that non-Muslims are the real terrorists.
