The MSM largely ignored the PA primary tuesday, as they are Trump Trial 24/7 at this point, but the PA primary was a DISASTER for Joe Biden, don't let the top line lazy reporting fool you.
Lefties/TDS suffers want to latch onto the fact Trump only got 83% of the primary vote.. claiming that this was a closed primary state and he only got 83% of the vote.
This is true, but the spin this is bad for Trump once again shows how little the establishment media either understands Trump (or more importantly his supporters) or that they are just willing to lie to push a narrative. The Trump base, and the Republican base are not the same, yes there is a large overlap (about 80% or so), but Trump's support is far far greater than the Registered Republican Base, and always has been.
Haley was still on the ballot in PA, even though she dropped out. So yes at the end of the day Trump got about 16-17% of the Republican Primary vote... And Biden got about 88% of his primary voters... This is true, but it is also AWEFUL... Why?
Why is Biden's 88% awful? Well, he's the sitting President and basically unopposed for all effective purposes and didn't even pull in 88% of his parties vote... On the surface that looks good, but he is a sitting president running for re-election.. and effectively uncontested... (yes Dean Phillips is on the ballot, but he's gotten on press, or anything of any relevance). Trump on the other hand, when running for re-election in 2020 got over 92% of the primary vote.
Biden underperformed Trump's primary when sitting president by a full 50%. Trump lost <8% of his primary vote in 2020 getting 92.1% of the vote, Biden lost > 12% of his Primary vote as sitting president.
over 5% of Democrat primary voters WROTE IN SOMEONE.. and more than 6% went to the other nobody candidate on the Democrat ballot. That's TERRIBLE.
I know the TDS media is going to focus on Haley get about 150k votes or whatever she got, which would be the 20% of the GOP base that isn't Trump... they are the establishment/RINO/Globalist/Uniparty Republicans, the old school McRomBush folks.. I would expect Trump would have a difficult time cracking 85% in the PA primary, it would be an almost impossible task. However the real news is BIDEN did TERRIBLE.. a sitting incumbent president and couldn't even get 88% of his parties vote, and more than 5% wrote in someone, rather than vote for any formal candidate.
There was no formal "undeclared" movement that I am aware of operating in PA, but I can tell you a full 10% of my district wrote that in rather than vote for Biden.
Biden did LOUSY in the PA primary... I know they will try to focus on Haley, and Trump only getting 83%, but don't believe it, BIDEN absolutely is in trouble, no honest assessment of his numbers out of PA should give anyone a cause for elation if they are a Biden supporter, it was a lousy lousy day for him.
I don’t think either primary result said anything meaningful regarding the bottom line in November.
Don’t care about the percentage. Its the votes and who counts them that matters. How many votes did Trump get and how many did the bozo the clown get?
They are indicators, not conclusions.
Biden did AWEFUL.
I agree. The U.S. Senate candidates and most House candidates ran unopposed, and there were only a handful of contested primaries for state legislative offices across PA.
Bottom line in Pennsylvania is mass vote fraud.
I will never believe Trump lost the state in 2020.
I too have been reading the reports of the PA primary and think that something is being glossed over. How many people left the list of convention delegates (all designated for Biden and no one else) blank? Voters are unhappy, just talk to long-time Democratic voters. They’re not going to vote for Trump. They don’t feel a connection with anyone.
The mail in ballots were sent out very early. They included Haley. They were filled out and submitted when Haley was still running.
This, to me, is just one problem with mail in votes. If the ballots are sent out early and and sent back early the people voting are missing further information about candidates that could change their vote.
Since the two parties’ nominees have effectively been chosen, the remaining primaries have effectively become irrelevant. For many, if not most, voters, that fact is probably driving down voter participation. The end result now is that the results, however they are analyzed, man nothing . . .
Most of Haley’s votes were mail in.
Sorry, but analysis does mean something.
Yes, you can argue presidential race decided... so lower turnout, but that does not mean that here is nothing in the numbers.
60,000 Democrats wrote in votes, that’s not insignificant, to put it in perspective in 2012 during Obama’s re-election primary here, there was a concerted effort to have a write in protest vote in that primary and only 20,000 write in votes occurred.
Biden won the state by ~40k votes.... do I think most of those 60k will end up voting for Biden? most probably will when its all said and done, or they just wont vote at all... Though I can say at least 1 Democrat in my district wrote in Donald Trump as his primary selection, which I found amusing. Biden is looking a disaster, this is the absolutely worst showing by a sitting president during their re-election primary certainly in my lifetime in PA.
The media will want to deflect with focusing on Trump’s top line, but Biden’s are the ones that are just draw droppingly shocking... a Sitting President could not get 90% of his own party to support his re-election, that’s unprecidented. That’s the real news story, not that Trump didn’t get 90%.
Trump’s base and the GOP base are not the same there is about an 80% overlap... Trump was never going to get over 85% of the primary vote here with Haley still on the ballot no matter what. Him getting 83% isn’t really a story... Biden not getting 90% of his parties support, that’s HUGE.
True to an extent, about 2/3 of Haley’s votes came from in person voting.
Trump was going to have a hard time topping 85% with Haley on the ballot... this is due to the dynamic of who Trump’s base is.
Trump’s base and the GOP base overlap, but are NOT the same.. about 80-85% of the GOP base are MAGA/Trump the remaining 15-20% are McRomBush/Establshment/Globalist/etc Folks. With Haley on the ballot, Trump’s absolute max here would be about 85%, period.
PA is a closed primary, so the remaining 15-20% of Trump’s base can’t vote in the GOP primary because they aren’t registered republicans. Though it is worth noting GOP registration is up 209k and Independent Registration is up 108K and D Registration is actually down 195k+ since 2020.
Biden’s numbers Tuesday are HORRIBLE... I know the MSM will want to play up Trump only getting 83%, but Biden not topping 90% as a sitting president running for re-election is absolutely unprecedented in PA, at least in the modern era... that’s the real news story, but they will largely ignore it.

No, they were not... She got just shy of 2/3 of her votes on election day:

.
Good job.
It was mind numbing that the Haley votes were the subject of three threads-
while the non-Biden votes were not posted one time, not even in any replies.
The negativity around here is only useful as a contra indicator. If it was the opposite, I’d be less optimistic.
That has nothing to with the folks here. It is the dynamics of popular opinion.
The key here is Biden got way MORE votes than Trump………if it matters. % of the total means nothing without knowing the total.
Yes PA is ground zero for vote fraud and has been for many years. I remember Romney v Obongo. There were dozens of precincts with 100+% turnout and not a single Romney vote not one and the worthless GOP said absolutely nothing about it.
Nobody is excited about Biden’s campaign. The only excitement is Trump hate.
Red Eagle Politics said the same thing in his You Tube vlog. Of course, Let’s Talk Elections said Biden is going to win based on his PA primary votes.
