Maybe this Officer shouldn't be in charge of loading or firing torpedoes or missiles.

That’s a Trijicon; it’s a very nice scope.
In this case using it is rather easy. Simply shoot turn the rifle around to use the sights, then fire.
Makes perfect sense given the nature of our government.

Surprised he’s not got it sideways gangsta style.

Everyone is so quick to criticize. Let’s look at the positives instead. For one thing, rifle guy put his shirt on properly. It’s not on backwards.
🤔
In all seriousness, how could that guy not notice the problems with the scope? Or maybe he did, and his supervisor just told him to shut up and pose.

The job of the US Military now is to deliver Taxpayer cash to Ukraine GloboHomoNazis and pay for Tranny’s transition procedures.

In some circles its a joke to put the ammo in backward, take pics and then question what’s wrong. I’m sure there’s more to this.

I have a friend of a friend who’s an armorer in Hollywood. There’s been a couple times he set the scope correctly, but the director wanted it changed because backwards “looked better to the camera”. Armorer reversed the scope because the Director’s an idiot but the armorer wants a paycheck.

Back in olden times, the Navy picked the Village People’s song “In The Navy” for a recruiting ad, without realizing that it was a gay group singing about the joys of an all-male navy.
Well, times have changed, and the Navy might well reconsider bringing that song back for another try.

I was on the 6-man repel boarders team on a submarine (USS Patrick Henry SSBN-599) and we used Thompson submachine guns. No scopes required.
