Charlie Kirk upset a lot of women last week. In a discussion on unmarried women preferring Democrats, he said that ladies in their 30s are past their prime and struggle to find a husband.
This is obviously true, but impolite to say. Kirk’s statement naturally inspired outrage among liberals, as well as among conservatives. That shouldn’t surprise anyone. Kirk’s opinion runs counter to the prevailing conservative narrative about the decline of marriage. Conservatives say it’s all men’s fault and we need to do more to shame males into stepping up.
But this male-focused answer isn’t correct. It’s true that men are falling behind in society and leaving college-educated women with fewer options. But that’s not because men are refusing to put down the video games and go to trade school. Rather, it’s because of social transformations that deprioritize men and traditional masculinity. Our economy is now centered around the service and information sectors, both of which are female dominated. More women go to college and graduate school than men. Male wages are in decline and more men than women report zero dating prospects. Women, in contrast, are the big winners of our new society. Many of them now think they have infinite choice when it comes to their life and relationships. This better explains the marriage crisis than men’s love of video games.

They think they ‘deserve’ it.
The good ones get taken.
Most girls/women today grow up self-centered, narcissistic, and entitled.
They are a drama-filled constant headache to live with.
The ones who actually want to commit whole-heartedly to a family are taken.
Why would any intelligent self-respecting man want to get locked into a no-win contract with a hot mess drama-queen who only see husbands as servants and children as trophies, and getting out of your mistake with her will cost you dearly and nearly indefinitely?
From what I have observed, the American woman after 40 is content with a box of wine, a cat, a prescription of Xanax, and “The View.”
My daughter told me of her dating attempts (mid-20s), “There is Toxic Masculinity and there is No Masculinity but nothing in between!” She also thought the majority of guys she met were in the “No Masculinity” camp - and many of those are in the Army!
OTOH, my son says a lot of guys see no point in marrying someone who, 5-10 years later, will take half of everything they’ve worked for and move on.
If I was in my 20s, I’d seriously consider not marrying.
Men need to be extra careful nowadays. Wives can dump them at will and use woman-favoring divorce courts to empty their pockets, turn their kids against them, and take away their firearms. This is not to excuse philandering, abusive husbands, but the risks of bad marriages fall more heavily on men.
I remember a FReeper post from a long time ago. He wrote that he talked to a woman and asked her what she wanted in a man. She gave a long description of all the things he should be. Ok, then he asked, what does he get for all this? She said: “He gets me”
A huge percentage of young women are not marriage material, period.
If I was a young man today, I honestly would probably go to Asia to find a bride. Young women today are crazy, and not the typical, has always exist “women are crazy”... I mean completely utterly irrational and insane.
The first dating question I would ask, to see how bad they are indoctrinated into Leftism and irrationality, would be..."How concerned are you with Climate Change"
That's the big issue: the guys the average woman deems "suitable" are desired by multiple women.
A 30 year old guy with good income, tall, and physically fit will not be interested in the average 30yo career woman, when he can get a cute 22yo.

Married at twenty-one. Motivated me to grow up, try to be responsible and work to provide for a home and family. I did it better the second time.
There have been more choices and distractions for both sexes since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Young and middle aged people of both sexes have some serious deficiencies and our four children have been very fortunate. I have seen some really bad outcomes for younger relatives and acquaintances.
If the girls were more attentive, the guys would not be playing video games.
“They all rate themselves 8”...yep. Today, women are told their entire lives that “they’re special”, “deserve the best”, “and can be anything”. They believe it too - transforming them into pathological narcissists.
Now they also have dating apps - where they all go after the top 1% of men because “they’re all that”. It skews the dating dynamics - the few men that get loads of dates treat them like dirt, why should they commit? So women think “all men are trash”. No - just the men YOU CHOOSE TO DATE are trash. All the average men that can’t get a date ARE NOT beneath you - because YOU ARE AVERAGE.
It’s like nobody wants to tell them - but even if they were told they wouldn’t listen.
Yes, the average women all think they deserve top-5% men. (Only 14% of men over 6 feet, and of those only a small fraction are making 6 figures at 30, so the 6-6-6 guys are maybe 1% of the males)

Exactly. My daughter has problems finding qualified men, however my teenage son, reports woman all over him….I attribute that to my training… shooting Ak’s and Ar’s from the age of 14, attending Church WITH friends, up at 4 AM on the weekends to catch the fish, up before school starts to get to the gym, no TV in the house, no computer games, prayers every day…..in short * a strong, young, Christian man*. Amen.
My wife must have been aborted at birth. Which is a good thing for her as her father might have said to her (about me) “you’ll always be bored, but at least you’ll never be rich”

They can be just as bad. A friend got a mail-order bride and she was amazed at how much American men would pay just for sex. She made a ton of money while he was gone on business trips.
