Actually the odds are pretty high. Most of the ships in the world are flagged elsewhere. And busy areas are busy areas, and more ships means more ships having problems. This probably happens every couple weeks around some bridge or another, but they don’t hit the bridge, so nobody cares. Owing to the timing this one made news.

I’m aware...My bro was a Mariner...his ships were all foreign flags. Only US during the Gulf War.
