She probably takes fault with my description of the Libertarian Party because its supporters deny its actual positions, I can back-up everything I have said about it, including the statement “refusing to take a stand against pedophilia party”.

But if you support them without question it doesn’t really matter what your voter reg says. You’re a republican. You’ve drank the kool-aid, you support them blindly. So you’re part of them.

“””””” You’ve drank the kool-aid, you support them blindly.””””

Can’t you read? I’m something you are not, a conservative, and I always look for the best avenue to advance conservatism.

“”I’m not a Republican and never have been, but I always vote for the best advancement toward conservatism that I can get.””

I notice that you keep avoiding actually challenging those factual statements about your preferred political party.

If you want conservatism to advance then why are you blindly supporting the GOP? They haven’t been conservative in ages. When was the last time you saw the GOP reduce the budget? When was the last time you saw the GOP reduce the size of government? Be guided by the Constitution? The best avenue to advance conservatism is to stay far far away from the GOP.

I think it’s pretty clear that the conversation has strayed from constructive ways to activate the apathetic. We can say that one suggestion is that we all abandon the GOP and then the apathetic will suddenly believe that it is worth them to re-engage in the political process.

I’ve said I don’t think it would work, and even if it did the country would be destroyed in the meantime.

To me the suggestion is sort of like suggesting the way to resolve a hostage situation is just to kill the hostage and be done with it. I don’t buy that suggestion and I very strongly doubt that anybody serious would.

I recognize the argument that we’re all tired of the same old, same old. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insane. So we need to change whatever it is that is making our politicians rotten.

The 2-party system does cause some issues by itself because it is how powerful chair positions are decided. I don’t know if there’s any way to change that, even with adding another party. You still have somebody appointed to powerful positions and they’re going to use that to their advantage

There’s also the issue of the party war chest - money and support given by party leaders to get people re-elected. Murkowski comes to mind. That is starting to be less of an issue because actual R’s have gotten wise to it and give political donations directly to the candidate they support, although with the replacement of Ronna McDaniel as RNC Chair people may be donating more to the R party. It better not be Mitch McConnell who’s deciding how best to stiff the actual R voters though...

I believe that the Founders put together a system they believed would allow the PEOPLE to hold their government responsible - between elections but also through replacing whoever doesn’t represent them well.

We don’t have that any more, and I do believe that this is discouraging to the apathetic. There is a belief that nothing we do makes any difference anyway. There is no way to hold anybody accountable between elections, and even if we replace them via election whoever we send will just side with the cabal against us anyway.

I think the left probably recognizes that better and uses hot-button subjects to try to pull apathetic voters into their cabal using bribery topics like marijuana and abortion. Doesn’t matter if the Deep State kills us all, as long as we can have drugs and sex until we’re dead. People aren’t apathetic about drugs and sex.

Some have said that the situation with the illegal immigrants overrunning our country could be a good “felt need” issue. When people lose their jobs to illegals or can’t get jobs because they’re already taken, people may get angry enough to snap out of their apathy.

Maybe a good thing would be to identify the issues that will snap people out of their apathy.

I have no idea what normies think any more. I hope somebody can buy me a clue.

I also think what was said earlier is critical: we HAVE to stop the steal. I’m hoping somebody will offer more ideas, brainstorming, and information about that.

What would you know about conservatism, you prefer a party that wants open borders and won’t take a stand against pedophilia and has always fought for many of the left’s most radical leftism such as the trans/homosexual agenda, hookers, any and all drugs, abortion, and so on.

Do you know the long version of your party’s open border statement?

There you go with the lies again. All you’ve got is lies and insults. Which proves you know I’m right. So really, stop proving me right, I don’t need your help.

Is there any penalty for news broadcasters deliberately spreading what they know isn’t true?

Shame, if possible, upon their actual enlightenment - in some rare cases. David Horowitz (student radical -type) figured out that his fellow communists were unhinged and eventually developed FrontPage Mag.

Maybe just libel against those they lie about?

Not sure, given how you structured that question: "just libel against those ?

Can press credentials be taken away? Yes.

Or is there any other way to hold them accountable?

Ronald Reagan's examples. In a debate v. Jimmy Carter, Reagan replied, "Well, there you go again . . ." Background:

Because, Carter had what Carter claimed to be some solution to a problem, but Reagan (or another conservative) disagreed with that leftist solution, Carter (and Democrats) would broadcast how "heartless" they would define Reagan (or another conservative) to be.

[NOTE: RINO G. W. Bush fled from conservatives, because Bush was afraid of being labeled "meanspirited" by the liberal media. RINO's are almost terrified at being labeled, "meanspirited."]

Reagan would point out in debate v. Carter, the flaw in the liberal's argument:

A person not in agreement with a liberal 'solution,' is assumed by the left, to be one who "does not care."

Reagan would correct that; he does care about a problem, but his (conservative - usually in keeping with existing law and our Constitution) solution . . . would be something other than the liberal's. Carter was stumped by that.

Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Stewart were a lot alike.

A study of history and principles that are the foundation of our worthy American Heritage and limited government, were essential for our Founding Fathers, and for both Reagan and Stewart.

Ronald Reagan's response to somebody taking a swing at him, was to either, not reply, or, reply with:

 - common sense
 - history
 - investigation
 - truth-full information

Reagan did not take offense at the liberals' biased, confounding "personality inventories" by which, liberals measure things and take swings at conservatives.

Lately, I have seen U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) on FoxNews. He knows details and speaks and explains things, well. Sounds like a capable fellow - for Senate Republican Leader, though a relatively new Senator.

I just came and answered a question. All the trolling is from you. You’ve been insulting from the start. And now YOU evade questions:
when was the last time you saw the GOP legislate conservatively? So why do you think supporting them aids conservatism?

You came on the thread telling people not to vote for Trump or anyone in his party and said that you prefer a party calling for open borders and that won’t even take a stand against pedophilia, but that any party that isn’t of the major 2 is fine for the Trump supporters here to switch to as far as you are concerned.

You have been evasive all along and constantly accusing me of lying but can’t point out any lies.

There you go lying again.

I think it’s hilarious you keep going on and on about the borders. We both know the GOP doesn’t give a damn about the borders. Really, once again, you just keep proving me right. You got nothing.

I don’t know how you can prefer this over the Republican candidate Donald Trump.

The full worded version of the Libertarian position on immigration, the last version I have seen them release to the public.

COMPLETE PLATFORM TEXT
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS AND CIVIL ORDER

IMMIGRATION:
“”THE ISSUE: We welcome all refugees to our country and condemn the efforts of U.S. officials to create a new “Berlin Wall” which would keep them captive. We condemn the U.S. government’s policy of barring those refugees from our country and preventing Americans from assisting their passage to help them escape tyranny or improve their economic prospects.

THE PRINCIPLE: We hold that human rights should not be denied or abridged on the basis of nationality. Undocumented non-citizens should not be denied the fundamental freedom to labor and to move about unmolested. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age or sexual preference. We oppose government welfare and resettlement payments to non-citizens just as we oppose government welfare payments to all other persons.

SOLUTIONS: We condemn massive roundups of Hispanic Americans and others by the federal government in its hunt for individuals not possessing required government documents. We strongly oppose all measures that punish employers who hire undocumented workers. Such measures repress free enterprise, harass workers, and systematically discourage employers from hiring Hispanics.

TRANSITIONAL ACTION: We call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.””

I don’t know how you think the GOP will solve any of the problems. We both know Trump is an outsider and the GOP won’t back him. They’ll tolerate him for 4 years, not funding anything, and then wave bye bye. The party is more than 1 man, and the party is completely useless.

LOL, interesting response to post 175 about the party you prefer over President Trump and the wall, the pedophile tolerance doesn’t bother you either.

Yawn. You’re still missing the nut. It’s not about preferring the party over Trump it’s about preferring ANY party over the duopoly. In 4 years Trump is gone, and party is back to business as usual. We already saw they won’t back him, won’t help him, and move on quickly when he’s gone. He’s a blip, an outlier, and will be erased. Just like they already did.
