I saw it a few hours ago, intrigued as to why Critical Drinker trashed it so harshly. Drinker was wrong because he was too hung up comparing the 1989 movie with this one when they're really different stories other than the basic premise and the name "Dalton". McGregor's a total hoot as a one-man cyclone. Well worth a watch, I give it a 6.5 on the 10 point scale.

The Drinker’s review was good. The story seems so bad and the acting just as bad. The original Road House was a ridiculous movie to begin with.

when they're really different stories Then why did they call it "RoadHouse" and bill it as a remake?
Why didn't they call it "Bouncer" and say it was a new film?
Because they knew no one would watch it?
