An extensive Pentagon report looking at the government's interest and investigations into UFOs since 1945 found no evidence of alien visitation nor the recovery and reverse-engineering of downed ET craft. Conducted by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), the exhaustive effort (which can be read here) revisits all of the various official programs aimed at studying the phenomenon up until 2023. The study also investigated various claims of clandestine UFO projects or evidence secretly being conducted or held by the US government or private companies as recounted by specific witnesses.
The findings of the report will undoubtedly be dispiriting to UFO enthusiasts who have long believed that the government has been covering up considerable knowledge or even proof of alien visitation as AARO definitively dismissed such scenarios. They specifically indicated that, since 1945, there is "no evidence that any USG investigation, academic-sponsored research, or official review panel has confirmed that any sighting of a UAP represented extraterrestrial technology." AARO also unambiguously concluded that there is "no empirical evidence" to back up assertions that the government or private companies "have been reverse-engineering extraterrestrial technology."

“The cover-up continues!”
Bright Star and Blue Book were never there to prove their existance, but to disprove them. A large number of sightings were written off to conjecture rather than facts. Swamp gas, weather baloons, artificially hurled objects with camera use, prism effects, and many other things that were used not as a determination but as an excuse to disprove their possibility.
And the funny thing is that after Blue Book was disbanded in 1969 of a total of 12,618 sightings reported to Project Blue Book, 701 remained “unidentified.” So that means to any common intelligence on this planet, which is more in question than the UFO’s, there were 701 they couldn’t explain. But they were certainly swept under the carpet.
That means that of the ones sited, 5% they couldn’t tell you why they were there at all. And that’s still over 700 events. So I guess if it doesn’t exist, and you have used up your ideas that can’t be used in the 700 events because there were no balloons, or swamp gas as it was in the desert, I guess it just didn’t actually happen?

And you don't think that on even one other planet, life has arisen like it did.
And I remember reading about 'reputable' scientists of the time saying Man will never fly, Going faster than 40mph will kill you, Man will never fly faster than the speed of sound, etc.
Are you so certain that sometime in the next 100-200 years, someone won't find a way to get around the speed of light limitation? And that someone on another planet has already done it?
I’m sure there are UFOs. I’m equally sure they have a terrestrial origin. We’ve explored the solar system to the extent that we’re sure there is no intelligent life outside of earth, and when I look at the Democrat party’s voters I’m not sure there is any here. However, the size of the universe and the laws of physics preclude interstellar visitors. Those of you who come up with the “we don’t know everything and there might be a way to travel faster than light” are living in a world of imagination. Science fiction is not science. And your hypothesis is nothing more than “here a miracle occurs” Do the math. Remember that Einstein doesn’t do away with Newton. The amount of energy needed to go 1/2 light speed is 1/8 MCsquared. Ie 1/8 of the mass of whatever you’re accelerating converted totally to energy. And you’ll need the same amount to slow it down again at the end of its journey. There isn’t any process that can convert mass completely to energy. In nuclear fission 0.1% of the mass is converted to energy. Fusion is a little better with 0.37% of the mass converted to energy. The universe is just too big and the speed of light to slow to allow interstellar travel
Yes, it’s nice to dream of what might be possible in the centuries to come.
But the physical limitations of space, time and gravity are very real.
Humans living on board the ISS need to readjust to earth’s gravity after just a few months in space. Who knows what shapeless form a human body might resemble after years away from earth’s gravitational pull.
Virtually every potential scenario involving man’s future in space comes from the minds of sci-fi authors. They have very vivid imaginations, no doubt, but then the unpleasantness of reality intrudes to bring them back to earth.
As an example of how wrong even educated scientists can be, in the run-up to the first atomic test at Los Alamos, there was talk amongst the most educated that the test would light the earth’s atmosphere on fire and extinguish all life on planet earth.
Obviously, this didn’t happen. If actual scientists can be so completely wrong in their estimates of what might happen, then think of how drastically wrong uneducated sci-fi writers can be in their fevered imaginations.
The human imagination can be the precursor to wonders yet undreamed of, but they must be tempered with that which is actually physically possible.
I stand by my original assertions.

That said, you are in good company:
"Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible." - Lord Kelvin, president, Royal Society, 1895."Airplanes will take between 1 and 10 million years to develop." In "Flying Machines Which Do Not Fly," NY Times, October 9, 1903.
"The horseless carriage will never catch on." Unattributed.
Speaking of the steam engine (paraphrased): "50 miles per hour is the maximum speed that humans can travel...beyond that speed, women's uteruses will fall out." Unattributed.
"A transAtlantic crossing in under 15 days will never happen." Unattributed. ~1830
We were CREATED in God's image...but then we fell.
Humans are only a hint of what God created us to be. That's why it takes Jesus to restore (i.e., resurrect) us.
When you look at humans, you are not looking at God's image. You are looking at the mess that we humans made of what God created.
Ross says that people on the inside of the Pentagon are telling him that the excuse given is that the Pentagon is protecting the national security value of technology derived from "vehicles" recovered.
But Ross said that he increasingly concludes that what is happening is that a small group inside the military-industrial complex is trying to protect itself from embarrassment and possible criminal retribution by the American public because of their covert operations/actions re: this matter.
For Ross this has been a teaching moment. My message to him:
Welcome to the Party, Ross.
Some folks figured this out seven decades ago.
Lol.
Yep.
As an aside, that Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick sure turned out to be a skunk. And he went to my alma mater.
Wherever Gillibrand might stand politically on all other issues, she is behind the disclosure effort.
This statement by Sen. Gillibrand off the record, is not really in line with AARO's report now is it?
From what she is saying, disclosure (whatever it is) is coming...SOON.
Has Greta Thunberg weighed in?
Here's the problem with that thinking: The military (i.e., the Defense Department) would have to admit that it cannot defend us against what this is. That takes away their power. It doesn't enable them to ask for an increased budget.
I like Musk. He's a brilliant guy. But on this matter he's wrong.
Either he hasn't been informed because the military, knowing he's an honest guy, has withheld information from him OR he's been informed by the military and told to keep his mouth shut if he wants their cooperation with Space X.
What she is saying is that she is going to try to get the information from people who do not want to give it to her.
We have been down this road many times before...Senator Goldwater...Congressman Schiff...
She is a newbie who is about to get slam dunked....if she is lucky.
If she is not lucky they will play dirty.
The Empire is striking back.
So far no life of any kind has been found anywhere. The arguement that there billions of stars and planets so that must mean there's life somewhere is like saying there are trillions of grains of sand on the earth so one of them must actually be an alien.
I beleive that the search for "life" is simply an attempt to prove that God didn't create humanity for a special reason and a special purpose. Or worse that God had no hand in creating life. It was random chance and circumstance.
She knows a lot more than we do...so I wouldn't call her naive.
That said, more and more whistleblowers are coming forward to Senate and House committees on Defense and Intel.
