Watch out for any hosts that renew your yearly domain registration through autopay. If you’re expecting it to go through but autopay fails, your domain could fall into the hands of someone else, say, maybe ... from China, who might offer to sell your domain back to you $$$.

I was using a host owned and operated by a Canadian couple for over a decade. I could count the problems on one hand.

They sold out to WHG and it has not been a great experience.
