Nearly three years after the January 6, 2021 fedsurrection, Blaze reporter Steve Baker reported in December that he will be charged for his actions that day reporting live on the event.
Steve wrote in October 2023 that he was under investigation for the past two years by Chris Wray’s FBI for reporting at the historic protests in Washington DC.
Steve Baker detailed his experiences that day in an earlier report. Then, in February 2021, he began questioning the role others may have played in the protests and rioting that day. This was clearly off limits.

Steve Baker announced on Wednesday that he has been instructed to turn himself in on Friday – wearing shorts and sandals.
The Blaze reported:
Baker told Blaze News he’s been instructed to turn himself in at the agency’s field office at 7 a.m. wearing “shorts and sandals” — which he said signals that the plan likely is to go for “humiliation” and place him in an orange jumpsuit, handcuff him, and do the “prisoner transport routine.”
The regime is going to arrest this reporter after he questioned the government’s role in January 6.

Correct. The FBI says they have an arrest warrant for him, but they won’t say what the arrest warrant is for. Unbelievable.

My understanding is that the Founding Fathers intended with the free speech clause to enable citizens to criticize the government.
Without that ability, there is no freedom.
The real problem here is that very few have the money to take such a case to th Supreme Court.
As maddening as the press is at times, freedom of the press is essential and must be protected at all times, like them or not.
This is all to make a spectacle of him and send a message to the rest of us.
There’s something fishy about asking him to dress like that. I suspect that they’ll dump him in an air conditioned facility with the AC cranked down as low as it will go, and just leave him there for a while to get good and cold.
I don’t trust them at all, not after how they’ve abused the others they have illegally held and tortured for these three years.
Show up at the courtroom wearing a suit.
There’s something fishy about asking him to dress like that.

Turning oneself in is one thing. Doing it in shorts and sandals just because they said so...nope. I would not be armed and if they killed me it would be on them. Nope, would not comply. Bring it. It is time for folks to have some backbone.
