Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“Sandu may face one of her pro-Kremlin opponents in a second round of voting on Nov. 3 if no candidate on Sunday receives more than 50% of the vote.”

She did not do well. She's nowhere near 50%, and the 2nd and 3rd place candidates are both pro-Russia. It also appears the referendum to join the EU will be a NO.

Russia has achieved full self-sufficiency in potatoes for the first time since 2015, according to an analysis of Rosstat data. This indicates the country is completely independent in the production of this product. “Last year, the level of self-sufficiency in potatoes increased by 6.5 percentage points at once and amounted to 101%,” RIA Novosti reports, citing Rosstat data. This achievement was made possible by an increase in domestic production and effective agricultural policy.

i.e. better than North Korea:

The country's farms produced about 4.82 million tons according to the Rural Development Administration of South Korea. That's higher than most years, it is still well short of the 5.76 million tons of North Korea's annual food needs estimated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

So the annual starvation period occurred right on schedule, and just like in previous years, potato scavengers flocked to the fields to try to find discarded or unharvested edibles, another Ryanggang resident said. “Frozen potatoes can be dried and powdered to make noodles or potato cakes,” he said. “These days, farmers in the rural areas of Ryanggang Province are unable to go to work because they have nothing to eat.”

Election news: A small tidbit, but very interesting early numbers out of Nevada. 1,800 D lead vs 40,000 in 2020 in early voting.

A few more days of that and I’ll have to update by EV prediction and move Nevada to the R column.

“Updated, 9:30 AM, 10/20/24

Good morning, fellow data obsessives.

The Clark mail has posted: Dems won under 2-to-1, about 30,000-18,000. (I’ll round in the narrative part up here to make it easier to read, details in chart below.)

Dems have about an 1,800-voter lead statewide (this will change slightly with signature cures, but not by a lot). That is a huge difference from 2020, when the Dem lead statewide was 40,000 after one day.”

Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, October 20, 2024

Russian sources claimed on October 20 that former Russian Yukos Oil Company Vice President for Corporate Management Mikhail Rogachev was found dead in a possible suicide after falling from a window in Moscow.[20] Russian sources claimed that Rogachev left a suicide note and had been suffering from late-stage cancer.[21] One Russian insider source, claiming to cite unspecified people within Rogachev’s “inner circle,” denied that Rogachev had cancer and claimed that his death was unexpected for his family.[22] Rogachev held various positions in Yukos from 1996 to 2007, including vice president, before becoming the executive director of the Russian private investment fund ONEXIM Group and later the deputy general director of the Russian mining and metallurgical company Nornickel.[23] Russian opposition activist Mikhail Khodorkovsky owned Yukos until Russian authorities arrested Khodorkovsky, likely for political reasons, in 2003 and closed the company in 2007.[24]

TV channels reported that he lived on the tenth floor and that it was a suicide, claiming he had cancer and left a note - which police are now investigating. But these reports were vehemently denied by his close friends and relatives.

His body was found in Moscow by an employee of Russia's SVR foreign intelligence agency.

Rogachev now joins a long string of unexplained deaths of leading Russian figures under mysterious circumstances.

Timur Ivanov was considered the “wallet” of ex-Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, as well as the most glamorous of his deputies. Ivanov ran a joint business with oligarch Gennady Timchenko and was repeatedly involved in various scandals; he was under investigation by the FSB for 5 years. In 2021, he was detained by service officers, but avoided arrest thanks to his patrons - Sergei Shoigu and Gennady Timchenko.

2 billion rubles were stolen through Timur Ivanov's companies. from Interkommerts Bank. Ivanov was in cahoots with the fugitive chairman of the bank's board, Alexander Bugaevsky. The former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation was also involved in the withdrawal of money during the construction of the Patriot park. Timur Ivanov had a “cordial” relationship with the head of the GVSU, Konstantin Korpusov, who did not allow procedural checks and criminal cases related to colossal thefts in the construction and property complex of the Ministry of Defense to proceed. The main sources of Timur Ivanov's corruption income were companies associated with him that were contractors of the Moscow Region. Many of Ivanov's assets are registered in the name of his second wife, socialite Svetlana Ivanova, and his third, former adviser to the head of the Moscow Region, Maria Kitaeva.

These are the NK officerss that were being trained on how to defeat Western weapons when the West, obligingly, sent them an ATACMS cluster munition to inspect. The ball bearings even penetrated their wall of medals ...

The officers from the DPRK who died near Donetsk had to be secretly buried in a mass grave in Russia

A source in the Ministry of Defense told us about this.

“After your publication about the death of six North Korean officers at a training ground near Donetsk, a real bacchanalia began in the world. I personally heard so much nonsense, it’s a nightmare. Therefore, in order not to draw attention to the situation, we had to bury the dead in an unmarked mass grave.

“If the bodies were sent to the DPRK from Russia or some traces were left here, then Western intelligence services would again come up with something. It’s good that Kim Jong-un did not insist on sending the bodies home,” he said.

At the same time, the interlocutor categorically refused to comment on rumors that the North Korean military would allegedly fight for our army. And also that we offered Pyongyang “some military technologies that will help North Korea fight its enemies.”

“Some people also write there that soldiers from the DPRK will help Russia avoid mobilization. Do you understand what nonsense this is?”, added the source. Thus confirming what we wrote about earlier.

Will Ukraine be allowed to create nuclear weapons?

In recent days, there has been a lot of talk that Ukraine can supposedly regain its status as a nuclear state. It would seem outright madness. It is no secret that Kyiv is entirely dependent on its partners in terms of budget and arms supplies. And Vladimir Putin pointedly stated that he would not allow the creation of nuclear weapons in Ukraine “under any circumstances.”

There are three important points here.

The 1st is that at the level of rumors and behind-the-scenes conversations, the creation of nuclear weapons by Ukraine is actually considered as a bargaining chip in exchange for joining NATO (at least in parts). Of course, there were no plans to accept a warring country with unclear borders into the alliance.

Then Kiev demanded that its partners allow strikes with Western weapons deep into Russian territory [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4703 ]. And against the backdrop of the first 2 points, allowing such strikes looks like perhaps the most harmless step.

2nd point is that against the backdrop of Russia’s rapprochement with Iran, Ukraine’s rapprochement with Israel is being recorded.

First of all, at the intelligence level. This does not mean that Israel will transfer many weapons, or, God forbid, nuclear technology to Ukraine. However, any rapprochement between Kyiv and partners of this level is not something pleasant for us.

The 3rd point is whether Ukraine has real capabilities to create nuclear weapons? On the basis of the institutions remaining after the collapse of the Soviet Union, such a process is possible purely in theory.

But this requires billions of dollars, and such projects hardly start with loud public announcements. Therefore, with a high degree of probability, this whole story is raising the stakes to persuade Western partners to take more drastic actions towards Russia.

1st of all, to lift the ban on striking partners with weapons deep into the territory of our country. Therefore, it is now necessary to strengthen our air defense [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4760 ]. This is something we talk about all the time.

Now servicemen from the assault company of the 19th Tank Regiment, 25th Army, currently stationed illegally in the Krasny Lyman area, claim that their command is planning to eliminate them for refusing to follow what one fighter described as reckless orders, which have resulted in heavy losses.

They report refusing to advance any further, having lost 90% of their personnel in each assault, and they haven't had a single day off in over a year.

Their only hope now rests with the Russian military prosecutor's office.

Grim new testament to the insane losses and reckless actions to which Russian commanders are sending their soldiers. This time, the focus is on the Kurakhove direction, specifically the village of Maksymilianivka, which was recently captured by Russian forces.

Servicemen from the 174th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division reported being forcibly reassigned to the 102nd Regiment without their consent. The commander warned them that he would ‘kill them all, send them to their deaths, personally nullify them, weld them up in an armored personnel carrier, and send them to Kurakhove.’

This is not the first incident—previously transferred personnel to the 102nd Regiment have either been killed or reported missing.

It's like old Russia, they think that if only the Tsar knows how bad things are and what mistakes their bosses have made, the Tsar will put everything right. They cannot imagine that it is in fact the Tsar’s fault.

the most powerful weapon in Russia’s arsenal is not its military, but it’s propaganda…The truth, however, is that the only thing standing between Putin and total defeat in Ukraine is the West’s unwillingness and cowardice to act.

A Win is A Win

“With more than 99% of votes counted, 50.4% had voted “yes” in the pivotal referendum on whether to enshrine in the country’s constitution a path towards the EU, according to the Central Election Commission.”

“Partial results also put Sandu first in the presidential race with 42.3% of the vote, ahead of her closest challenger Alexandr Stoianoglo – a former prosecutor general running for the pro-Russian Party of Socialists – with 26.1%. “

“According to U.S. assessments, Russian casualties in the war so far number as many as 615,000 — 115,000 Russians killed and 500,000 wounded. U.S. and British military analysts put Russian casualties in September at an average of more than 1,200 a day, slightly surpassing the previous highest daily rate of the war that was set in May.

Ukrainian officials have zealously guarded their casualty figures, even from the Americans, but a U.S. official estimated that Ukraine had suffered a bit more than half of Russia’s casualties, or more than 57,500 killed and 250,000 wounded.”

GREAT NEWS

Number 1 goal from this war is the demilitarization of RuZZia.

Number 2 goal is to decouple RuZZia and Europe.

“China Is Overtaking Europe as Top Market for Russia’s Pipeline Gas”

“China is on track to become the largest market for Russia’s pipeline gas this year, overtaking Europe after the Kremlin’s war against Ukraine capped flows of the fuel to the region.

Russia’s gas giant Gazprom PJSC exported 23.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China in the first nine months of the year, or almost 40% above volumes exported the same period a year ago, according to Bloomberg calculations based on the Asian country’s customs data and price estimates from the Russian economy ministry.

That compares with 22.5 billion cubic meters of pipeline gas sent to Gazprom’s remaining clients in Europe from January through September, according to calculations based on flows via Ukraine and the TurkStream link.

Gazprom has been gradually increasing gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, which was launched in late 2019 and has design capacity of 38 billion cubic meters a year. Last month, Russia’s gas behemoth agreed with China National Petroleum Corp. on additional shipments in December that will ensure an early increase in daily flows to the maximum contract level, which was previously targeted for early 2025.

The agreement came as gas demand in the Asian economy is on the rise. The Paris-based International Energy Agency expects overall gas consumption in China to increase by 8% this year, “led by the industrial sector but also supported by power generation, residential and commercial users, and the transport sector.”

While Gazprom plans to boost its annual supplies to China by further 10 billion cubic meters via the so-called Far Eastern route from 2027, that’s still a fraction of what the company sent to Europe before Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.”

Brings a smile to my face. 3 months to go.

“While most of European Union sought out alternatives for Russia’s gas, Gazprom remains a critical source of energy for some nations, including Hungary, Austria and Slovakia. Pipeline exports to the region increased by 16% in the first nine months of the year from the same period a year earlier, Bloomberg’s calculations show.

As Gazprom’s five-year transit agreement with Ukraine expires in December 2024 and Kyiv has no intention to extend it, around half of the gas flows going to Europe are under risk of being halted.

European officials are holding talks to replace transit flows, with Azerbaijan potentially becoming a solution, but a deal doesn’t seem to be close with less than three months left to run.”
