The enemy damaged two of our Tu-95MS strategic bombers?
This information was given to us by a source in the VKS. According to him, the damage was the result of an attack by enemy drones on the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region.
We have checked this data. Thank God, they were not confirmed - the information was refuted by 6 sources among the military.
“The drones flew to the Murmansk region, it’s true. We had to urgently take the aircraft into the air. We managed to save all the planes. Some are a miracle,” said an interlocutor at the Ministry of Defense.
At the same time, he expressed concern about the fact that enemy drones reached so far. And he promised to raise with Andrei Belousov the issue of strengthening the air defense of the airfield where our long-range aviation is based.
“If you continue to shoot down drones with small arms, there will be trouble. This time, despite some unpleasant moments, everything worked out,” the source added.

Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, August 21, 2024
Russian President Vladimir Putin and People’s Republic of China (PRC) Premier Li Qiang discussed deepening bilateral economic and trade relations in Moscow on August 21. Putin stated that Russia and the PRC have jointly developed large-scale economic and humanitarian plans, and Li stated that the PRC is ready to develop a multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia.[54] Li also met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on August 21, and they signed a joint communique that includes a plan for Russian–PRC investment cooperation and 15 other unspecified intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents.[55] Li also noted during his meeting with Mishustin that Russia and the PRC are increasing cooperation in the energy sector.[56]

Serious problems in the Volgograd region after the attack on the airfield
Last night, enemy drones attacked the Marinovka airfield in the Kalachevsky district of the Volgograd region. The authorities, as expected, said that the attack was repelled, but the video from the scene convinces us otherwise. According to our information, the drones attacked ammunition depots. One of them hit a fuel storage facility. The losses in equipment are being clarified. It is preliminary known that not all aircraft were able to get into the air. Sources say that at least two Su-34s were seriously damaged.
In fact, another attack on the airfield pushes us to one important discussion. How long will the authorities openly lie to the population about the consequences of enemy attacks? You can leave something out, but why tell an outright lie that the attack was repelled if everyone can see the consequences? We just recently went through this with the Ministry of Defense, when they declared that on the first day of the enemy invasion, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were routed and driven out of the Kursk region. Only after a public beating from us did the Ministry of Defense delete its shameful lie. But that is not the solution! The population wants to know the truth. Maybe not the whole truth, maybe a bad one, but the truth.
Victory in Ukraine (and any outcome will be presented to us as a victory) will be Pyrrhic - on the ruins of the Russian army and navy. The day before, on August 21, another drone was shot down in the area of the Olenya strategic bomber base in the Murmansk region - 1,750 km from the Ukrainian border. The Northern Fleet and the world's only nuclear icebreaker fleet are also based in the region. In particular, this is the basis of the Russian nuclear shield, which Russian politicians love to boast about when threatening their Western adversary. If things continue like this, the Northern Fleet will suffer the fate of the Black Sea Fleet, which in total lost more than 20 ships in two years of special operations, including landing ships, submarines and the flagship cruiser Moskva. The fate of the Olenya base is also unenviable, because, having zeroed in, Ukraine is inflicting increasingly painful blows on military facilities.
A source at the Ministry of Defense, for example, commenting on the recent UAV strike on several airfields, noted that this is not the first strike on the Savasleyka airbase in the Nizhny Novgorod region in the last two weeks. According to Western media citing satellite images, the strike resulted in the destruction of a MiG-31K/I interceptor, two Il-76 military transport aircraft, and damage to about five aircraft, the model of which is not specified. Our source also noted that, judging by the effectiveness of the “arrivals,” no conclusions have been drawn, and sabotage along the lines of Shoigu’s old team cannot be ruled out, based on the principle that the worse for Removich [=Min Def Belousov], the better for Kuzhugetovich [=Shoigu].

The blame game:
We have talked a lot here, on this platform, about what is happening along our border. One way or another, they heard us, second echelons, reserves appeared. The troops covering the state border, even in the trenches, must prepare daily, constantly train. I was in Kursk Oblast, I saw how minefields are equipped, but they are ineffective without fire cover. Who planned this? Who thought about this? This is serious. Today, it is impossible to plan such serious operations without our knowledge. I do not believe that they did not know about the concentration of enemy troops.
If there is initial data on the enemy, then, probably, we need to think about what is happening. Unfortunately, the composition of the group covering the state border did not have its own reconnaissance assets. They were the last to be provided with everything necessary. Nobody likes the truth in reports. Everyone wants to hear that everything is fine.
The Russian news site Vestka, citing sources in the government and parliament, reports that because of what is happening near Kursk following Ukraine's invasion, where Moscow has lost control over a territory of 1,000 square kilometers (621 square miles) and 82 settlements, criminal cases may be taken out against representatives of the military, security and civilian authorities, who allowed this situation to happen.
One of its contacts said that when the news of the initial stages of Ukraine's move into Kursk took place on Tuesday, Aug. 6, it was met with apathy amongst officials who did not consider it to be a serious threat.
According to a Bloomberg report, Gerasimov had received intelligence on Kyiv’s plans weeks before, but chose to ignore it and did not inform Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The fact that he had fallen out of favor as a result was when Putin first tasked Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and then Secretary of Russia's State Council, Aleksey Dyumin, overall control of the “counter-terrorist operation” to expel Ukraine's forces.

Russian mir demands lies
Nothing to see here keep moving…..
“ Marinovka airfield… the drones attacked ammunition depots. One of them hit a fuel storage facility… Sources say that at least two Su-34s were seriously damaged.”
That base hosted fighter-bombers, of the kind that deliver the glide bombs that have been such a problem for Ukraine. Other such bases have had their ammo storage areas attacked recently.
I saw some video showing heavy dark black smoke rising after the sun had risen, which I would guess was a diesel fire.

NATO ISR flights over the western Black Sea are back after a few weeks absence. Occupied south Kherson region and Crimea appear to be the surveillance targets.
American soldiers or just Americans, big difference. Americans are allowed to do what they want. If they want to volunteer to fight in Ukraine they can.
Of course having Indians, Nepalese, Chinese , North Koreans, Cubans, Africans… fighting and dying for mother Russia apparently is just fine, no pictures
We always hear from the usuals “well why don’t you go over and fight” and when people chose to we get this?
Hummm
It is interesting how we are told repeatedly that this is a European war and they should handle it, and they do, and the response from the usuals is “they are out of touch with “reality””
Curious
Well, that did not work, back to the usual methods

Prayers didn’t help. A fire at an oil depot in the Rostov region killed 47 rescuers
Friends, the fire extinguishing effort at the oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov Region, has been going on for the fifth day now. Let us remind you that it was attacked on the night of August 18, and firefighting is still ongoing.
Unfortunately, tanks explode and prevent the consequences from being eliminated. According to our information, 47 rescuers died at the scene of a serious fire, and another 31 are listed as missing.
Alas, the prayers held near the oil depot did not help. Let us remind you that they also wanted to hold them in the Kursk region, hoping that this would help deter the enemy’s advance on our territory.
As people of faith, we support holding prayer services. However, relying only on them is a lost cause. To extinguish a fire, as well as to contain the advance of the enemy, it is necessary to use all efforts.
“As people of faith, we support holding prayer services. However, relying only on them is a lost cause. To extinguish a fire, as well as to contain the advance of the enemy, it is necessary to use all efforts”
If you say this then you don’t believe, if you don’t BELIEVE, then prayers won’t help
Imagine all the pilots and missileers attacking civilian targets wear WWJD bracelets and Gott mit uns belt buckles
