This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

…of Russia’s whole Active duty force structure at the start of this invasion - not just those in the Ukrainian Theater of Operations. Their cadre of reasonably trained and well experienced professionals across the board.
Whole units were deployed from the Arctic and the Far East, but individual replacements to reconstitute units attritted in battle, have also been drawn from all throughout the whole of the Military.
Reconstituted units need officers, NCOs and technical specialists - not everyone can be a mobnik, pulled off the streets three weeks ago. They have drained other units dry, as well as cadre in the training base, headquarters, offices, depots; and any where else mid-grade personnel were assigned.
As they have been pulling more tanks out of storage, they have also been pulling tank gunners, drivers and Commanders from other assignments, all around the Country, to operate them. They only had so much inventory of skills on hand, and they have been burning through them, faster than they are produced. What they are calling an Airborne or Armor Brigade today, is a lot more like a gang of mostly untrained hoodlums, than what the had at the start.
Skills and experience have been hollowed out, Armywide.
