The biggest threat to ‘democracy’ is the ‘democracy’ of the mob that controls it. I hear ‘democracy’ and I think back to the French Revolution, the mythical Madam Defarge and the guillotine mobs.
I would take up knitting for a "Republic Terror", seeing all these power-drunk traitors perp walked to appropriate justice far swifter and sure than the slow torture they mete out to the January 6th protesters who were just exercising their rights as Americans.
