Caitlin Clark had no specific plan for how she hoped to break the NCAA women's basketball scoring record Thursday. But after doing so while also setting the Iowa Hawkeyes' single-game scoring record, Clark had to grin.
"You all knew I was going to shoot a logo 3 for the record," said Clark, who now has 3,569 career points, 49 of them coming Thursday. And indeed, every aspect of the night seemed storybook perfect for the senior star.

She was far from done, though. Clark went 8-of-10 from the field -- 5-of-7 from 3-point range -- in the first quarter, scoring 23 points. It was the most points she has scored in any first quarter in her Iowa career, and the second most of any quarter. She had 25 in the fourth quarter of a loss to Michigan on Feb. 6, 2022.

That’s what I thought when I first read it too. 8 for 10 would be 16 points, and 5 for 7 3 pointers would be 15 points, thus 31 points. It took me a few moments to understand that they were combining the shots.
" She is what my Mom called “unfortunate looking.” Aka, pretty ugly."
Maybe. This photo doesn't qualify as ugly though IMO.
If so, she will be announcing that she has joined Me Too of idiocy movement.
You trying to pick me up? No thanks. There are globohomos about though. You should be able to find more receptive individuals.
Most young women look pretty good when they wear a pleasant smile.
I don’t know. In my mind this young woman is God manifested into a lady basketball player. I don’t think I will see this level of talent in a basketball player again in my life, man or woman.
Clark has some amazing skills and a work ethic that is to be commended. But, Clark has one major fault in her game and that is she constantly bitches to the refs about fouls and even infractions she is not involved in at the time. Right now thousands of young girls are idolizing her and they see this as well. Some of them will pick up this trait to the detriment of their development. It is a shame that Coach Bluder has not shut this down. I have been in the coaching profession for 42 years (16 in Girls basketball) and coaches often forget that they are first and foremost a teacher. Those that turn a blind eye to bad behaviors in exchange of success aren’t, doing society any favors.
“ She is what my Mom called “unfortunate looking.” Aka, pretty ugly.”
Uncalled for comment. Would you say that to her face? Or her dads face?
She’s a good kid.
One of the good role models in college sports.
Her looks are just fine.
Just because she doesn’t look like a makeup covered airhead doesn’t mean she’s unattractive .
So... white girls can jump?
From Wikipedia...
“Clark was born on January 22, 2002, in Des Moines, Iowa, and grew up in West Des Moines.[1][2] She started playing basketball at age five and competed in boys’ recreational leagues, because her father could not find a girls’ league for her age group.[1][3] Clark also played softball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and golf as a child before focusing on basketball.[2][4] At age 13, she began playing several years ahead of her age group in girls’ leagues.[5] In sixth grade, Clark joined All Iowa Attack, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball program based in Ames, Iowa, for whom she played until graduating from high school.[2][6] She was coached by Dickson Jensen with Attack, and her AAU teammates included future Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) player Ashley Joens.[7][8][9] Clark drew inspiration from Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx, the closest WNBA team to her hometown, and traveled with her father for 3 1⁄2 hours to see their games.[10] She admired All Iowa Attack alumnus Harrison Barnes and became a fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels after Barnes joined the program.[6]”
Excellent! She’s deserving congratulations. I hope she understands eventually some guy playing on the girls team will break her record.
For the NCAA women’s basketball national championship game: Iowa and UConn...dream matchup.
I’m sure you have better offers than me asshat.....and I’m certain you’ve availed yourself of such opportunities.
What a childish comment...let’s see a pic of your mommy for comparison
Don’t pull a muscle making that stretch....you obviously know nothing of her off the court work....clown on “coach”.
Swoopes not happy.
Maybe a bit "plain", but hey, she doesn't have any makeup on and she's wearing a flat white blouse. Give the girl a break. I'll bet she dresses up real nice.
IMO, "Not Guilty". I would have been very happy with some of that back when I was her age.
LOL! My first question as well.
And not without merit.
I see you take rejection badly.
At my age, most young women are nice looking.
