This is one of several ways to rein in the CCP. Below the surface there are fracture lines that are waiting for just the right stress.

I worry this may trigger them into taking some kind of action before Biden is out of office.

I think the US should put an exit tax on all remittances from the US to Mexico, and Central and South America. 100% in fact. Full confiscation. For example, taking about 4.1% of Mexico’s GDP would make then think about their facilitation of illegals’ entry into this country....or really making an effort at stopping the flow of fentanyl, etc.

What timing.
China’s central planning is hitting its natural consequences, Joe’s a vegetable, Trump is advancing through the primaries, and Jack and Big Fanny are having bad days.

I think we should tax them all no matter where they’re going, 50% at least. I’d be fine with a 100% tax on anything going south of our border.
You want to send $1,000 to Ecuador? Fine. That’ll be $2,000.

Wrong correlation. It’s not the uttering of Trump. Try “Evergrande”.

There were several catalysts for the plunge, first and foremost appears to be Trump confirmation that he would impose a tariff on Chinese goods of more than 60% if elected, signaling an increasingly hawkish tone against the top supplier of goods to the US. Trump speaks and the world shakes.
Biden speaks and his voice shakes.

What is interesting is that you heard almost nothing about the markets in China during the morning business shows.
I guess we will see how they do tonight.

They now have a motive to rid the world of Trump. By hook or by crook they will end his shot at the White House.
