Actually, they haven't ventured much outside of blue cities. When it comes right down to it, most blue states are actually red states with large blue urban populations that cancel out the votes of the rest of the state. Portland vs. Oregon, for example, Chicago vs. Illinois, Las Vegas vs. Nevada.
