Rewarding failure is how our institutions roll these days.

BTW, AI is nothing but the new Y2K scam giving tech companies and staff endless heaps of cash "To Implement Corporate and Government Strategies to Ready themselves" for the non-existent crisis.

I found my dissenting message in FB that pointed out the US Constitution, Art IV, Sect 4, that was ‘overruled’ by the USSC recently, delayed by a week for one person so far.

They are stepping it up again.

I stopped using them as there are so many anti Trump posts and memes it’s obvious they are trying to influence the election.

She’s not a “liberal”, she’s a Mexican supremacist trying to tear down American electoral integrity.

Nothing “liberal” about her. Just a twisted thug.

A member of Meta’s oversight board said during a recent interview that the Big Tech company “had not done enough” to control users’ speech back in 2020

It’s not a private company when it’s in wide use like it is.

They should be punished with a $500B fine or stop censoring. Election interference should come with a minimum 20 year prison sentence.

Former Electoral Councilor at the National Electoral Institute (INE) in Mexico

Mexico

Pamela San Martín is a lawyer from Mexico City who has dedicated her career to advancing human rights, freedom of expression and democratic institutions. Between 2014 and 2020, she served as one of 11 Electoral Councilors at Mexico’s National Electoral Institute — the highest position in the country’s electoral management body. There she worked on organizing peaceful elections and managing key issues of campaign regulation and freedom of speech and information. As Electoral Councilor, San Martín played a central role in developing policies to guarantee minority rights in democratic processes including trans and disability rights, and quotas for indigenous people. She has also sat on the editorial board of one of Mexico’s most widely circulated newspapers. Prior to her time at the Electoral Institute, San Martín worked at Mexico City’s Human Rights Commission for almost a decade. She is currently a consultant on elections, democracy, and human rights, particularly in countries facing polarization and violence, and has participated as an expert in international observation mission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated Oct 2023

What is the board’s relationship to Meta?

The Oversight Board is a global body of experts that will review Meta’s most difficult and significant decisions related to content on Facebook and Instagram. It will make binding decisions on that content, which means Meta must implement them unless doing so could violate the law. The board will also be able to issue policy recommendations.

The board’s independent judgement is critical to its function. Both the board and its administration are funded by an independent trust and supported by an independent company that is separate from Meta. The board’s structure, responsibilities, purpose and relationship to Meta are outlined in the Oversight Board Charter. The board acts as a service provider to Meta.

Why is this admitted election interference not being investigated by the DOJ and FBI? Oh wait, my bad. Of course the DOJ and FBI are being run by corrupt democrats.

Pamela San Martín: foreign national from Mexico, sits on Meta’s Oversight Board with Khaled Mansour, pro-PLO Egyptian journalist and coauthor of Phyllis Bennis from the Institute for Policy Studies.

Board member Pamela San Martín claimed “even though we’re addressing the problems that arose in prior elections as a starting point, it is not enough.”

I think she should be replaced with Pamela Sue Martin.
