Full disclosure, we typically take bombshells like this with a grain of salt because this is the sort of story that definitely will get lots of clicks and taps and often times, if something sounds like it's too good to be true it probably is.
However, coming from Byron York? Yeah ... this is worth covering.

This case is getting reversed on appeal. The judge and the lawyers should also be disbarred

We're not holding our breath for any actual consequences for the judge or lawyers but looking at what appears to be a pretty big conflict of interest ... not sure how this can stand. It very well could (we are hardly experts) but guys, wow.

You dont need evidence to have the appearance of impropriety and create loss of confidence in the system.
The Judge in the case BLATANTLY favored the side where “friends” and close acquaintances were representing. It was blatant bias. Refusing to allow evidence, refusing to allow for certain blatantly exculpatory items to be brought in. It was biased from day 1. Then rulings were ludicrous and only explainable by blatant bias.
I was speaking more broadly in response to a broad brush criticism of lawyers and judges as a class.
By the way, this has already been dropped. So the grain of salt was justified.
